Coastal Queen Cruises — Local services in Newport

My wife and I were in the area in October 2021 (I know I am late writing my review). We had a wonderful time on the nighttime sight seeing cruise.

The booking and check in process was easy and all the crew members on the boat were very friendly. We chose our seats wisely and sat at the front of the ship near the bridge. The gentleman narrating the tour was talking to us and the others in our area and provided us with additional historical information which was fantastic.

Obviously, The Coastal Queen is a good cruise to take as there were other couples near us that have been on this nighttime sight seeing tour before.

I do recommend looking at the parking locations recommended on the website. I don't remember parking suggestions on my confirmation email and drove to the address of the marina and there is no where to park. This is definitely my error not Coastal Queens as i should has looked at all of the website when I booked the cruise. This is just a suggestion for those like me that see what they want to do, book it, and figure it out later.

We love the Newport area and can't wait to come back. When we do we will book another cruise with Coastal Queen.

I just learned about Coastal Queen's new Harbor Seal tour departing from Wickford's Town Dock - I took the 2:15pm departure yesterday (Sunday, Feb 25), which I thought was phenomenal.

As a non-boat owner, this was the first time that I actually saw Wickford harbor from a boat, which was beautiful in its own right. The 90-minute tour drove around Fox Island, past the Plum Beach Lighthouse, near Dutch Island, and back to Wickford harbor.

As importantly, Coastal Queen provided high-quality binoculars for everyone to see the seals from a safe distance, and without spooking them.

The boat was comfortable and the bottom deck was heated, the crew was awesome, and we saw a LOT of seals. This would be a pleasant 90-minute cruise without seals, but it was incredible with seals.

I will take this cruise again....

We booked the Coastal Queen for a private cruise with about 75 guests the day after our wedding, and we can't say enough good things about the entire experience! Sandy was a pleasure to work with- she was incredibly friendly, responsive, helpful, and professional. She worked with us to perfectly execute our vision for the event, including a champangne toast, just the right amount of narration, and the music we played. The boat itself was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and people of all ages and abilities boarded and moved about the boat seamlessly. The entire crew was friendly, welcoming, and very professional.
