This place was absolutely amazing. You arrive in an adorable shopping strip area and then go down a set of stairs (be mindful that these are steep). Check in is quick and easy because reservations are made online ahead of time in blocks (9-12 pm, 12:30-3:30 and 4-7). You place your child’s and your items in cubbies and keep your socks on for the play area. No food and drink is brought into the play area (adults are allowed to place a drink on cute little yellow shelves throughout the room) but lots of space to eat and drink in the cafe area. The age range is 0-6 and there is just so much for your child and you to do and explore. The carpet is the cleanest carpet I have seen in my life and I’m still thinking about it. Every play station has had so much thought put into it. Even the walls have things for your kids to touch and play. There are plenty of wipes if your kids tend to put things in their mouths. There is a restroom in the play area so you don’t even need to leave the area to use the bathroom. I think the only single con I have is that they are so amazing that they are booked most weekends for private parties and don’t have open play most of the time on weekends. I highly recommend this place for parents who stay at home with their kids or just those days off school/daycare. I’ve already signed up for some more days and can’t wait for more...
Read moreAfter booking Charming Star to provide party rentals such as lawn games for my son's 5th birthday party, which we had planned to host at our home, the week before the forecast showed rain for the party day, which put all our plans up in the air for the party. Well, fortunately, Charming Star was to the rescue! The owner, Daile, was SO flexible with our plans and we were able to have the party at Charming Star for the same day we had originally planned to have the party at home. This switch was the best thing that could have happened! On about three days notice, Charming Star put together the cutest Toy Story decorations for his Toy Story party, they had everything set up and nice and clean when we arrived, they had the timeline very organized, and even clean up for you and put away the cake and gifts at the end! They provide food, and all you have to bring is cake and drinks for the adults! Daile happened to be the party coordinator for our event too and she was fabulous!
Most important and best of all, the kids, ages 5-6, had an absolute BLAST from start to finish! Truly non-stop fun! It was amazing to actually be able to ENJOY my son's birthday party thanks to Charming Star! They do it all, and I would wholeheartedly recommend having a kid's party at Charming Star no hesitation, they could not make...
Read moreI have been taking my kids here for about 5 years and used to really love it and think it was a gem! My last visit was this past Friday and to say it was mobbed was an understatement. When I Checked in at the front, I mentioned that I thought it was busy and the owner responded “it’s always like this on Fridays and some walk ins came from 25 minutes away and we can’t really refuse them after they’ve driven so far.” I really respected and appreciated the reservation system because it’s a limited space and having a TON of little babies running around is dangerous. Mine have been knocked over pretty hard and parents are never in sight keeping an eye on their child. Another downfall, my kids get sick within 2-3 days EVERY time we go, my 2.5 year old has the flu after our visit Friday. Another downside is the outside spots, there is 2 spots for “expecting mothers” and with respect to women who may not be showing yet etc. I have seen so many women abuse this from older women to women who absolutely shouldn’t be using the space and leaving it for women who are expecting and have little ones in tow. The price increase and overbooking has me turned off and Friday unfortunately will be...
