Had breakfast at Rolling Stars in Newtown Square this morning with my dad and I’ve got one word: WOW. I’m from PA but I live on Long Island now, and let’s be honest—New York is the Harvard of bagels. So I showed up skeptical… but Rolling Stars? They crushed it.
The bagels were the real deal—chewy, fresh, and absolutely NY-quality. The coffee? Bold, smooth, and strong enough to make me forget how early it was. The food came out so fast I had to double-check I actually ordered.
Amy, the manager, is an absolute rockstar. She’s out there working the room like she’s running a brunch talk show. And the waitstaff? Just the kind of people you want handing you carbs first thing in the morning. Friendly, fast, and totally on point.
The vibe is warm and welcoming, like you’ve been going there for years—even if it’s your first visit. It was a Disney-magical-bagel experience from start to finish.
I’ll be telling all my New York friends about this place—finally, a PA spot that actually gets it right. I left happy, full, caffeinated, and suspicious that I may have just cheated on...
Read moreI stopped in at Rolling Stars in the Edgemont/Newtown Square area this morning for breakfast and was greeted by an incredibly friendly staff. What a great way to start a Monday! I was especially impressed with the manager Amy. She really cares about the experience you have here. I love that she is visible and checks in with the customers regularly, and is definitely on top of things. The staff were all so welcoming, kind and helpful.
The food was so delicious. The bagels are New York style bagels and are so fresh. I’m definitely a fan and will be back! Highly, highly, highly recommend. I was so impressed with the experience I had this morning, especially since today was their opening day.
On another note, the coffee mugs with the bagels on them are adorable and the dining room looks awesome with the bagels on the windows and a gigantic bagel on the ceiling. What a great place for breakfast and lunch...

I had the nova lox sandwich in an egg bagel. Loved the bagel, loved the lox. The lox was some of the best I’ve tasted in a long time. It’s freshly sliced and delicate with just the right bite.
Others in my group had the Rueben and whitefish salad. Both were big hits, but we’d consider getting the Rueben with a traditional Russian instead of the mustard.
Service was fantastic! We had a great time chatting with our server Chris and appreciated the conversation as well as recommendations.
We’ll be back to try more!
Edit: also love the nova lox platter - light,...
