I donāt even know where to begin. From the minute we walked in to the minute we left the only thing good about this place was the people we were with. So⦠Let me start from the beginning. We had a reservation and when we walked in the hostess Said she didnāt have any tables in the dining room. Would a booth be OK ? I said sure. Next thing I know, they are seating us in the bar area.!? Who wants to sit in the bar if you are having a nice dinner? OK⦠We sit down and it feels like a meat locker in the restaurant. Even though I had a jacket on, we were all freezing. So letās move on to the food. We order the calamari and the bang bang shrimp. Both were horrible! The calamari had so much breading on it, and it was over fried. You couldnāt even taste the calamari. The bang bang shrimp was coated in so much sauce, again, you couldnāt even taste the shrimp. Next, we got our salads. They were the most unflavorful and watery salads. , Not just the Caesar salad, but the regular house salad. My ramekin with my dressing was filled half way and of course our server was nowhere to be found to Ask her for more. Once we get the main course, my son ordered the snow crab legs, which was the special of the day. As a food enthusiast myself, I know a bit about food. The snow crabs came, and they were completely dried out! Not just that, but they were not high-quality. They were small, broken, but the fact that they were dried out was very disappointing. Me, My husband and my daughter all ordered the Parmesan encrusted trout. The mashed potatoes were not only cold on the plate, they tasted and looked like hungry jack. I remember those from the 1970s, When my mom bought those one time as an experiment. The trout had a skin on the bottom of it, but not just that it was cold. I have to tell you, this was a terrible dining experience! I wouldnāt recommend this to anybody. I know I shouldnāt expect much from a chain restaurant, but I have been pleasantly surprised before from a few chain restaurants that have knocked my socks off. This was a terrible...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood was delicious, SERVICE, UNGOOD! When we arrived, there was a 20-minute wait, so we decided to sit in the bar area. Upon sitting at one of the high-top tables, after about 5 minutes, we had to go find a waitress to provide menus. Waitress came, provided menus and put in our drink orders. Where were sitting right by the door, and tonight was a chilly rainy night, so my partner went to the bar because 2 seats became available. He went to the bar, as I sat waiting for the waitress to tell her were moving to the bar. He explained to the bartender (not Lauren) that we were moving, and she said no problem, that I didnāt have to wait at the table, so he came to get me.
Then enters Lauren! She asked for our drink orders. My partner was explaining the situation, as we didnāt want to be charged for additional drinks, since he had already ordered a drink with the waitress while we sat at the high tables. Lauren was very confused, and her demeanor and attitude didnāt help. I was hoping the bartended who my partner spoke to before we moved would step in to explain, but she didnāt, so I did. From that point on she was rude, short in response and inattentive, all the while she was the total opposite to the other customers at the bar who were not my race. We would say,ā Thank you,ā she would say nothing or just respond with just a sound.
Lauren needs customer service training or needs to be in the back of the house away from customers. Her behavior resulted in a minimal tip, which is divide between her and the other bartenders. How unfortunate for them.
Iād like to preface the following by mentioning that I am not the type to become angered or impatient with simple mistakes made by servers or restaurants, but I believe this experience was excessive. I think itās also important to share these poor experiences so, hopefully, management can remedy these issues.
Service was slow, which is fine, but is frustrating when youāre waiting to order more drinks. The real issue was the food. The only reasoning I can fathom is that the cooks were new. We order 3 steaks, 1 which was cooked ok, but the other 2 were cooked very well and one being almost dry. (We had ordered them medium) The waitress had forgotten my lobster tail with mine, which again, no biggie, she brought out the tail while they were re cooking the steaks and said it was free. That was a great way to make up for the mistake. However, when my steaks and new tail came out.. the tail was over cooked and rubbery. The manager had me cut open the two new steaks. One was fine and the other (my daughters) was Rare are hell. I said they were fine just to move on. My daughter says she is not eating it. Everyone else had finished their meals by this point so we were ready to leave as it is. The green beans were not cooked enough either, they were probably only half cooked so very crunchy and chewy. This is not me being picking I promise you. So really all I ate was my mash potatoes which were awesome and the calamari for our app. Drinks were good. We did get the chocolate chip cookies for dessert, which I wouldnāt recommend. The real sting is paying $380 dollars for a meal I could have just gotten at Applebees for half the price and cooked correctly. I will, in the future, visit Bonefish again, but never...
