I arrived shortly before closing—not at closing—and was immediately met with unprofessionalism. The receptionist, rather than greeting me with basic courtesy, asked a colleague beside her if they “wanted to take me,” adding, “I know you don’t want to,” as if my presence were an inconvenience rather than the reason their job exists. The colleague reluctantly agreed to see me.
Upon disclosing that I was self-pay and uninsured, the receptionist’s tone became patronizing and unnecessarily snide.
Shortly thereafter, staff members behind the barrier carried on a loud conversation mocking patients who come in near closing time, as if people deliberately choose to feel ill or injured on their schedule. The contempt and lack of professionalism were astonishing. I left without being seen.
Let me be very clear: No one visits urgent care because they’re having a good day. Patients don’t deserve to be spoken about, or treated, like they are an annoyance. This location should be ashamed of the way it handles those most in need of basic empathy. I will never return, and I strongly suggest others take their care elsewhere.
Spare me the corporate “we’re sorry you had a bad experience” response. You had your chance to show decency in...
Read moreI sustained an injury to the right index finger tendon on the back side of my hand. I went online on Tuesday and scheduled an appointment for Wednesday am. Despite several walk-ins showing up, my wait time wasn't too bad. After being taken to an exam room, I was examined and treated by Laurie Daigle, PA. She was extremely attentive to my injury and took what I considered ample time to discuss the situation. X-rays were taken and read. She told me that she only wished that she could perform an MRI there so she could actually see the tendon in question. She referred me to a hand specialist with an orthopedic group in town. The only thing I found odd about this encounter was that I was the one to call to make the appointment with the referral as opposed to UrgentCare doing it for me. I can't get in to see the specialist for two weeks. I wonder how long it would have been had UrgentCare or the PA made the call instead of me. But I would definitely recommend UrgentCare. When you need to see someone and can't get in to see your PCP in a timely manner, UrgentCare provides a great alternative to your...
Read moreThis is my family’s choice of urgent care in the area! The staff is so nice and friendly and they are quick to help with non-emergent cases! My last visit was one of the more lengthier wait times but the front desk staff was very open and honest about how long the wait times were and that they would see everybody that was in the clinic before closing. People need to understand that everyone is just trying to do their job with precision and care to best treat each individual patient, so waiting is natural in this type of setting. One lady was so mad she had been waiting so long but looking at her from the outside there was no reason to act the way she did, she was breathing, walking and scrolling on her phone just fine while my 10 month old daughter waited patiently with an ear infection and eye infection and was the last one seen. Any bad review about this facility would simply be because people feel entitled and has nothing to do with the type of care received or the kindness the front desk staff showed, even though she was being criticized for something completely out of...
