I came into your store in Nisswa recently and was very disappointed by the service I received from a young employee (looked to be about 18 or 19). Their attitude was snotty, dismissive, and far from welcoming. Instead of being greeted with kindness, I felt brushed offâas if my presence was an inconvenience.
As a Christian, I believe in extending grace and forgivenessâwe all fall short. But I also believe in speaking truth in love. Scripture reminds us: âDo everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure⌠shining like stars in the worldâ (Philippians 2:14-15). When someone is entrusted with customer service, itâs more than just a paycheckâitâs an opportunity to show respect, humility, and care.
This kind of attitude does not reflect well on the store, nor on the community. I truly hope management will take this seriously and provide better training and guidance. Young people need accountability and mentoring so they can grow into not only good employees, but also good people.
