Been there a few times to purchase coffee. The coffee is really good! Question: The boxes sold with coffee pods in them do not have the quantity of pods in them. When asked I was told 6. The package actually has the location where the quantity would be listed redacted. Pretty sure you need the quantity written on the package as per MN and FDA rules. Plus it would be nice to know how many are inside without asking, especially when you are busy.

First just to get it out of the way, their scones are THE best, period. Also, to get my two gripes out of the way: you have to go outside to another part of the building to go to the bathroom and their hours are limited.

Now to the meat of this review, the coffee. What makes good coffee? good beans, good roasting, good brewing with freshly roasted beans. Mike the roast master is that a master of roasting and he's passionate about it as well. The barista's here are about the only ones in the Brainerd Lakes Area that can pull a great expresso. If your looking for a regular cup of coffee there are a lot of places in the Brainerd Lakes to get one. If you want decent beans there are a few places to go, but if you want an excellent cup of coffee, an excellent expresso or the best beans, this...

Fantastic experience at this small town coffee shop. I'm pretty picky, and downright cynical when it comes to rural coffee, but this place really delivers on a smooth cortado and espresso flavor. It's not overly acidic/sour/light, but also not intensely dark.

I was pleasantly suprised that two baristas on different weekend visits immediately understood what a cortado was and everyone was friendly.

Purchased a bag of the Black Tiger Espresso to use at home and it's fresh, fragrant and smooth. It would be nice to see a roasted-on date with the packaging however, as that omission gave me some heavy pause. However, the friendly staff convinced me it wasn't a month old or anything.
