āI Came. I Flew. I Flopped (Gracefully). Bungee Class
Fling Bungee Fitness is like if Cirque du Soleil and a trampoline park had a wildly energetic baby ā and I am there for every moment of fun! From the moment I strap into the bungee harness, I know three things: Gravity and I are about to break up. My dignity is optional. I am about to have the time of my life.
Picture me bouncing around like a caffeinated squirrel on a pogo stick, squealing with joy (and maybe a tiny bit of fear). One minute I am lunging like a superhero in slow motion, the next I am heading towards the ground in the most graceful, slow-motion dive of my life ā and somehow it feels empowering. Who knew cardio could be this fun and slightly ridiculous?
The instructors are absolute gems ā part personal trainer, part hype squad, part drill sergeant, part air traffic control. I burn wild calories, defy gravity, and giggle uncontrollably for an entire hour. If youāre looking for a workout that makes you feel like Spider-Man and a flying toddler at the same time, bungee is your new happy place.
āāāāā āExercise? More like exorcise my dignity!ā Trampoline/rebounder class
Have you heard? Trampoline workouts are all the rage because apparently, ābouncing your way to fitnessā is a thing now. Youāre thinking, āHow hard can jumping up and down be? ā Spoiler alert: VERY. Especially when you realize your core muscles have been on vacation since 2011.
Let me paint you a picture: You proudly step onto the trampoline like youāre about to perform in the Olympics. Five minutes in, youāre sweating like a confused squirrel at a rave, trying to keep up while the instructor jumps like gravity doesnāt apply to her. Yep, thatās Karrie!
Do you know that 10 minutes of bouncing is equivalent to 30 minutes of running? And seriously, the only time you will catch me running isā¦never. You will simultaneously laugh, smile, feel the burn, and somehow have the time of your life. Itās like working out on a moon bounce while being chased by your childhood energy. Bonus: It burns serious calories and your Apple Watch will want to date you because you are working so hard and getting sexy all at the same time.
āāāāā āI came to get toned, stayed for the full-body betrayal.ā Tone Class
You sign up for a tone class thinking, āHow hard can it be? Light weights, cute music, some squats⦠I got this.ā Oh, sweet, naĆÆve friend. This class didnāt just tone my muscles ā it tone-shamed me into realizing I HAVE muscles Iāve never even met. We have been cordially introduced now.
The instructor looks like a fitness angel sent from glute heaven. She smiles sweetly while saying things like ālast 8 reps!ā ā 3 sets in a row. Spoiler: there have never been only 8 reps. The number 8 became a lie I clung to like a security blanket while my legs trembled like overcooked spaghetti. She doesnāt count anything in single digits. Nothing.
The dumbbells, of varying weights, will have you praying to baby Jesus, especially when youāre 47 reps in and the trainersā lips are still moving. There will be lunges, pulses, micro-movements, and something like a āburnout round,ā which Iām pretty sure is just code for ācry while smiling.ā My glutes, abs, arms, shoulders, and legs have all filed formal complaints with HR but they said I paid for this so Iām out of luck.
But hereās the thing: I LOVE IT. I walk out sweatier, wobblier, and sassier than ever. Iāve never suffered so joyfully. If youāre looking for a full-body wake-up call wrapped in upbeat music and betrayal lunges ā Tone class is your new best frenemy.
I love this place. I love the trainers. I love the women who work out with me and beside me. And I love myself enough to make me, my health, and my sanity a priority! I have never felt or looked better, and itās all because of this motivating fitness regimen. Fling Bungee Fitness wonāt disappoint. My body loves this placeā¦and so...
Ā Ā Ā Read more3/2023 Update: To think I would be having this much fun working out never crossed my mind! Iāve had multiple people telling me they see the results of my hard work. Iām still not superāfitā due to vacations and holidays and loving all the foods, but Iām so much stronger and fitter than I was last summer. I love that the Tone and Barre classes are always different and am having a great time learning all the new level 3 routines! My favorites are Level 3 and HIIT in the Bungee, but I still take other classes, too. I even take level 1 classes with friends that are starting out. I have started to feel comfortable in my own skin, enough that I did a workout in my sports bra due to overheating in my shirt. And I donāt let my belly show, EVER! (ask my husband!) Thanks to the instructors and other clients for always making me feel good about myself. I may not have a great body, but I donāt feel judged. I feel like Iāve made new friends from different classes, too! Donā come try it out. Worst case, youāll have sore muscles and your face will hurt from smiling!
Iāve been waiting for something like this to open near me, and Iām loving it! Itās super fun, all while getting a good workout! Once you try it, youāll be inviting all your friends to come with you. Iāve had 2 classes so far, and bought a package because itās so great :)
Update: 2+ months and 20+ classes in, I'm loving these workouts. Karrie challenges us in the HIIT classes, Pam works our muscles in Yoga and they both push us to our limits in level 2 classes. We laugh and have a great time! Looking forward to the Pump Me Up Bootcamp and Bounce Me Up trampoline classes starting up next week, and mentally preparing myself for the Level 3 skillset class.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo much fun!!! This is not your traditional workout experience at all. If you are looking for something fun please give Fling a chance! The trainers are SO NICE and the atmosphere is so welcoming. Everyone in my classes has been kind and thatās hard to come by. I loved my experience here and actually looked forward to going to class - and I dislike working out! Fling will make you enjoy working out!
Update: I wanted to share an update regarding my experience at Fling. Late December I purchased the fitness and nutrition plan. It has been one of the best investments Iāve made in myself. Postpartum I gained 15 pounds and I was feeling horrible one year after having my baby girl. I needed some assistance to get my body back to where I felt good physically and mentally. Iāve been working my program with Karrie for the past 7 weeks and have learned how to eat. Prior to coming to Karrie I knew very little about nutrition and now I know how to eat to be both satisfied and healthy. Karrie has been EXTREMELY supportive while holding me accountable which is what I needed. Going to workout each week has been the cherry on top. As I said previously this is not your ordinary workout. Itās tons of fun and everyone in class is so welcoming and encouraging. Also, Karrie wants to show you how to properly exercise and gives you technique on your form. I cannot say enough great things about Fling, Karrie and her staff. If you are looking for an EXCELLENT nutrition program and trainer pleases look no further. This is by far the best program I have found and have seen results - 14 pounds...
