This Review is for Pink only. I've had good experiences at most other places, but Pink in this shopping center is not on Google. Got a Groupon for the new Pink location at 1776 Jefferson St. Rockville, Md. Made an appt. Owner charged me a $20 (supposedly refundable) appointment fee. The owner cancelled the appointment saying the worker had an emergency. Made another appointment. Drove 40 minutes to the appointment to be told by the owner, "Oops! My mistake. We're not even open yet." Ugh! Made a 3rd appointment. Owner canceled saying the air conditioner for the building went out. Made another appointment. I cancelled this one due to sickness. Made a 5th appointment. I drove 50 minutes, in heavy traffic, to get there. I had texted the owner to warn her that I would be late. She said, "no problem." I got there and called. Owner said the woman who was supposed to do my teeth whitening had gone home (she had never bothered to call or text this information). Owner said she herself was going to come and do the work. She asked me to wait 20 minutes for her to drive to the location. I said I'd wait. After one hour, I tried to call and text several times. She completely ghosted me! What kind of human being would do this to someone? I have texts to prove all of this and will post if she tries to call me a liar. Please don't give this woman your hard...
Read moreI am not fond of the parking lot but the selection of stores is great. Silver Dinner, Micro Center, Trader Joe's that has been inlarged is fabulous. Sally's Beauty Supply is here and though I don't approve of professional supplies being available to the public I have accepted the fact that they are. As a retired stylist, many of the product lines available there and other public stores is upsetting because I was the one that made these lines popular with my clients when they were only available in a salon. That was before stores like Eufora and Cosmetic Center came along and took the profits away from the small business owner. Retailing products is a very important aspect to the salons bottom line. The money made from the services is eaten up by the expense of running the salon. 50%+ goes out in the commissions paid to the stylists. Then there's the non income generating staff. The receptionist, assistance, and let's not forget the rent and common area fee. It's as if the powers that be don't want you to succeed. When ever possible please purchase your products from the salon you patronize. You may save a few bucks but the salon owner would appreciate it. Also every salon stands behind the lines they sell, so if you have a problem with them they will gladly take it back. Thanks in advance...
Read moreLove the stores in this shopping center... The PARKING LOT IS A FLIPPING MESS!!! The owners of this lot have NOT provided sufficient handicap accessible parking spaces for starters. It's always like rush hour traffic here and I can't begin to tell you how many times I've almost been run over literally trying to get to the safety of a sidewalk because cars just don't look and don't care for anyone but even worse ... People in wheelchairs. Even worse, they have a whole complete section from the streetlight to the Mexican restaurant where there is NO SIDEWALK AND NO SAFE ENTRANCE to the parking lot - so if coming by bus - we have to come in with traffic which is super dangerous! *This review again is completely about Federal Plaza itself and it's owners - which is what it should be. The stores have no responsibility in this or fault aside from reporting these problems to the owners/county and even Dept. Of Justice as it affects their place...
