I have been a patient of Dr. YanQiu He for fifteen years, and I hold her in the highest esteem. She is extremely knowledgeable and supportive; her work addresses both the physical and emotional issues surrounding her patients’ well being. I appreciate that she is familiar with Western medications and approaches to illness from her training in China and is a licensed OMD [Oriental Medical Doctor]. Dr. He makes honest assessments and will be straight forward if she does not think that Chinese medicine will help with a particular issue.

Dr. He was first recommended to me by Dr. Robert Heffron, a DC area native, who pursued training in Chinese medicine from very early in his medical career in the USA. Before Dr. Heffron moved to teach Chinese Medicine at Brown University, he interviewed many acupuncturists to find one he felt comfortable recommending to his local clients. After his search, Dr. Heffron told me that Dr. He was the only acupuncturist in the DC area to whom he would personally go for treatment. I soon understood why. Dr. He is an invaluable resource for her patients.

Dr. He seems to care about patients and is truly interested in helping relieve their pain.She is very attentive, thorough, and competent. She is knowledgeable about treating the problem so that the pain is greatly reduced. She has exceptional skills and takes time also to explain what might be causing the pain as it moved to different parts of my body.
