I have not eaten at Vie in over a decade. I was running some errands and was in the mood for a good breakfast sandwich. I was greeted when I first opened the door…very good sign. I approached the counter and was eyeing the varieties of breakfast croissants. I decided to get the Cheddar & Saugage breakfast sandwich warmed. It was a disaster. I took one bite and it was cold on the inside…I could tell that if it was rewarmed that it would get even more rubbery & that the flavors were not melding. I brought the croissant to the counter, explained and then asked for a breakfast panini instead (I’ll pay the difference of course). This was when I started to be talked to like I was not welcomed. It was subtle but offensive. I work one day a week at a popular bakery and always have a high standard concerning customer service. I never make a customer feel like they did something wrong when the product is not right. I must say that all three employees I interacted with seemed like likeable, friendly people. I wished they handled this basic...
Read morePeople are really nice and the pastries are great. I don’t know what people are talking about when they say “great atmosphere”. There isn’t really an atmosphere to be observed here it’s just “fine”. Like literally there were only 5 other people here, so in a sense yes it’s very chill. I wouldn’t say a nice atmosphere, but it’s not negative. Staff are friendly and seem like great people. The only reason I give this place three stars is because they use tea from the grocery store and then charge you the price of a Starbucks drink. I ordered something basic, something easy to make, hot chocolate. It just tasted like deluded Swiss mix honestly, not bad but not good, definitely not great. Just very mediocre. The layout of the store is very unique and could have potential if they had better drinks. But the food is good! So if you’re coming for the food, 4.5 stars. For...
Read moreCame here before an evening shift to grab a light dinner…the people working were very nice! The pastries also looked very nice, but I didn’t try any of them. I can’t say at all that I can recommend the food, though. I ordered a $12 “croque monsieur” and they brought me a sub roll that was very clearly from a bag from the grocery store that was toasted with butter and then had 2 pieces of deli ham and 2 pieces of what tastes like generic swiss cheese slices melted on top (see photo). No part of this belongs in a croque monsieur, nor is any if it even French, save maybe the butter. I understand food is expensive right now but this is just false advertising. It’s so sad because I’m sure people in this area would pay more than $15 for a real croque monsieur that had at least the bare minimum effort put into it. Don’t know if I’ll be...
