White Flint Plaza — Local services in North Bethesda

There is a Shoppers grocery store as well as a few other stores here. Cars race through this parking lot and do not pay any attention at all to pedestrians or those of us in wheelchairs. I almost got hit while IN A CROSSWALK and the driver yelled at me!!! There's no security or police presence to help or or protect us either. This makes me choose to rarely frequent this shopping center!

There are not enough cuts in the sidewalks either for wheelchairs. The way it's set up, we have to go down a hill to get on the sidewalk and then try to make our way back up that hill! Hard to do with 1. Packages and 2. Being tired and 3. Just disabled and trying to drive/push our chair up a hill!. If it was cut appropriately, it would have cuts closer to to access the sidewalk to get to to the bus stop easier. Businesses are losing money because the parking lot is too dangerous and they are all too cheap to pay for security to protect...

I don't really go to this shopping center much anymore. I'm a retired hair stylist and Cosmoprof was one of the distributors I frequented for professional supplies. The public cannot buy from there. Though the number of people I saw over the years going were not stylist. There was a big shake up and one day I walked in and the entire staff had changed. I assume it's because they were caught selling professional supplies to the public. Now they ask for your license or member card to get past the front door. This is a good thing because when you buy a diverted item there is no recourse. If you purchase it from your salon or stylist you can always return it if you don't like it or it's defective. Please don't buy professional lines from anyone other than your salon or stylist. We take great pride in the retail products we sell and frankly if it wasn't for us, you would have never heard of them....

I like several of the stores located in this open air Mall espec Homegoods, Petsmart and Rodman's. It's definitely a great mall for specialty items. However Don't go during midday on weekends if you want to avoid large crowds and searching for a parking space... it's that popular. It's also not so convenient to get there, but worth the trip if you're getting ready for a holiday and are looking to decorate your home, buy specialty foods and need something for the family pet. I think there's also a Shopper's store if you need to stock up the pantry, a Weight Watchers, pool supplier, car parts seller and other specialty stores. A great place that requires a little patience and good timing but...
