I come into meijer's once a week either Fulton road or Main Street location. Today I was doing self checkout as I always do when a lady named Donna came up asked me not even polite if I've scanned my water that was on the bottom of my cart I looked at her I told her no I haven't scanned it yet but I'm going to she then proceeds to just scan it without asking me and walks away I then look back and said I told you I was going to scan that and she just kind of giggled which I felt was pretty rude and I felt offended, that's not the procedure ever to take with a customer if you want to scan it and help out at self checkout I think you should prefer to ask if they wanted it scanned before just doing it upon yourself. Normally I come during the week in the morning and there's a really sweet lady that's always working self checkout. This lady looked miserable with her own life and she was projecting it on to me assuming I wasn't going to scan my $5 case of water!! It's called self checkout for a reason, if I needed help or I was worried about having memory issues during check out I would have...
Read moreWhen it opened, started off good. Produce was fresh, sale items on boxed goods and frozen was good. Meat quality and selection was decent at first but now it's kind of gross and I've never seen rubbery ground beef before. Produce had mold on it on several occasions, grapes/strawberries/cherries specifically, lettuce was poor quality every time I went to buy it. It's pretty basic in general, right up there with Marc's, Giant Eagle, Acme, Aldi's. They all carry pretty much the same brands anyway; each store has sales so just hit up which store has the better deals in any given week... The quality overall of meat, fresh produce is kind of sad. I do like that it's large, I get claustrophobic in some of these stores and you have to go down aisles and you have run into people so I appreciate the big open space, but as far as competition goes, it has an improved the quality of any of food in any of the stores mentioned above. Pretty small town to have five grocery stores in a three mile radius that are...
Read moreWe’ve given this location lots and lots of chances, but time after time they fail to deliver the care or accuracy one would expect from a higher end grocer. Wrong products selected, order 2 six packs of bottled diet ginger ale, get 1 six pack diet cans, 1 six pack non diet bottles. Order 2 four pack of light yogurt, get one 32 ounce tub that you can’t finish before it spoils. Last batch of avocados, every one in the bag hollow and moldy, tomatoes rotten in 2 days. Today, they lost our order then after waiting 30 minutes brought it to the car, THEN an hour and a half later got a text saying our order was ready to pick up. Their phone number did not work to text them when you arrive. DONE. I’m not sure if it’s incompetence, laziness or they just don’t care. But you’ve lost...
