I normally have a great experience at this salon in West Ashley, however on Friday I left feeling like I was bothering the staff when I inquired about the length of time I tanned. I was expecting the full time in a 12 minute bed. The bed stopped at 10 minutes. Not a huge deal, it was just a 2 minute difference. Considering Iād never met the employee who checked me in, I just asked if there was a mistake in entering my tan time or if the full time had changed from 12 to 10. She didnāt seem to know what I was asking, so the manager stepped in and was unusually condescending. Saying it would only be less if I was building time, but I did that last month when the bulbs were replaced. I again said I wasnāt upset, but just wanted confirmation so I knew what to expect going forward, and from her tone I just got the feeling that she was looking for an argument or I was clearly bothering her with a simple question. Pleasant and was not pleased with the result. I told the girl behind the counter that it was my first time there. I asked Denise if there was a package or something that would have been better than buying 5 individual visits like I did. She proceeded to enlighten me on the NUMEROUS options that I had. She showed me every single bed and explained what level each one was. She was so unbelievably helpful and patient. Also, my payment didnāt go through (my card was frozen and I didnāt think of every subscription I had to call and change the card). Was never told the payment didnāt go through until 10 days later. l had no problem switching the card and paying my monthly draft. I was charged a ācard rejectionā fee. I work in customer service and I am an AGM of a gym. I waive late fees daily. This was too much for her though. Not to mention her just having a nasty attitude.
