Panda Palace — Restaurant in South Carolina

This place has increasingly gotten worse. I use this as my go to for food that is simple, easy, and somewhat affordable. They have messed up on my delivery orders before and I really didn’t complain but one other time where they literally changed me for a large soup and brought me a small. This time my total order was screwed up. Before I even got the order the simple instructions for the delivery driver were not followed and then he called me several times while I was with clients. When I called him back he yelled at me and asked why I didn’t answer the phone. I remained calm due to language and culture barriers are the so no big deal. My food being wrong after all that madness is not. I finally sit down open it up and the white rice I requested was pork fried rice and no chili oil as requested. No biggie I’ll let them know, called and calmly told the perfectly English speaking guy on the phone, he relayed the order as I submitted it and then apologized and asked me to hold. I’m working through what I could of my lunch, 8 minutes later, we can bring you some white rice and chili oil. Well my lunch will be over by then sir. What do you want me to do then give you a meal…You messed up and the rice compliments the curry chicken that I’m eating solo. Well do you want some free white rice on your next visit…I will settle for a small hot and sour soup. He yells NO!!! That’s not fair! We only made the rice mistake. Ok sir I will no longer eat at your establishment. Wait why are you making this a big deal…sir I no longer will eat at your establishment thank you. Wait…never mind I’m not going to beg… never asked just wanted fair service…the end. They have been rude for a long time, mediocre at best with food quality, and very ignorant to a lot more of Americans that come in there not just people of color because I have seen it. I gave too many passes but now that I see they have stayed in business and have not fixed that attitude I’m done. And the food sucks…3 times I’ve gotten below quality food and a sea of muck (as shown in the picture) at the bottom of my plate. Steer clear...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! I tried Panda Palace for the first time and my entire experience was horrible!!! I ordered boneless spare ribs with pork fried rice, 2 orders of wings with pork fried rice, house special lo mein with 4 chicken wings. When I got home I noticed that one of my wing dinners were missing. My boneless spare ribs were burnt, and the pork fried rice was old and hard. I called to find out what happened to my second wing dinner and the employee TOLD me that I did not order 2 wing dinners, and that I specifically asked for 2 wings with pork fried rice. (That he put in their wing dinner plate). After that I asked to speak with the owner of the facility, and he exclaimed "for what?! As a matter of fact I'm the manager!" When I asked AGAIN to speak with his boss/owner he stated he just walked out. I asked when will he be back in...he stated "he doesn't come in here. If you are trying to get free food, you might as well give up." I just wanted what I ORDERED. Charleston county school system has failed this young man as an American citizen since he obviously could not COMPREHEND the simple order that I placed..the same order that he repeated to me, and I reiterated BACK TO HIM. Oh...eventually the only information I got in regard to the owner was "if you want to talk to the owner then you need to go down to Sakura...on Ashley River Rd. 😑 Needless to say, I did NOT eat that food. I wouldn't let a homeless dog ingest that old, stale, burnt, re-cooked garbage that they call food. I had to my old faithful Chinese restaurant Hong Kong in the Food Lion plaza off of Paul Cantrell and Magwood. I will upload a picture of the huge difference in food quality of the 2 restaurants. Horrible experience. ..ordered a lunch special with a slight change...snows peas in place of green beans (which this dump was out of anyway) over the phone. I informed that I would be there in 15 minutes to pick up. I get there and my orders not ready. The cashier apologized and informed me they were swamped. ..funny cause there was no other customers in the joint except for me. So I overlook his error and place my order AGAIN. ...10 minutes later (I guess they had to kill and pluck the chicken themselves) I go to collect my food and dude tries to give me a lunch special in a French fry container with my rice to the side in a separate container.....What the hell??? So after questioning this he the cashier tried to convince me that all lunch specials were served this way....really??? Since when...anyway I requested my money back several times only to have his side-kick "the girl with the dragon tattoo" /"delivery-girl" chimed in ...sticking her nose where it definitely didn't belong. ..so after going back and forth with frick and frack I finally received my refund and was told not to come back...Lol, really - they need me more than I need them. Sad part is that I don't even think they were the owners. ..just 2 kids trying to act...
