CSG is one of the best parts of my life! They source excellent local produce and other products. You always know where you’re buying from. They have so much beyond fruits/veggies including dairy, meat, spices, jams, grains, pretty much everything you need. Their prices, especially produce, rival the increasingly expensive large chain grocery stores, and are sometimes even less. It’s AMAZING for anyone who’s busy to have that weekly delivery, saves a ton of time slogging through a grocery store. I pick just the Single Box to get the seasonal favorites and then add on a bunch of my own stuff when the appropriate day comes up. That’s the only trick to the process to know about - you have the day before your delivery to add your add-on items. Shaunda and her team put the Ritz Carlton to shame with their outstanding personal service! They are so fast on email with any questions, and even sometimes my crazy requests. They are so kind and helpful, you can tell they put their whole hearts into their work. I’m grateful to all the people who make the wonderful service possible! I wish everyone would support local farmers and organizations like this and ditch the grocery store poison! Localism is rewarding for the whole ecosystem. Our wallets are our most powerful voice. It’s better for the farmers too, they'd usually rather sell wholesale than deal with retail. I hate to say it but many of the farmers markets in the area are just full of brokers who try to sell plums in April and other nonsense. Sea Island Farmer’s Market is legit, but it’s a hike for many, so the delivery brings everything we need! I keep remembering things to add to this review … one of my other favorite things about CSG life is NO wasteful packaging! The packaging is minimal, and most of it I recycle back to CSG. Keeps my recycle bin empty and my food isn’t encased in plastic.

Just imagine a World where farm fresh produce, locally raised meats, mushrooms, milk, cheese, bakery breads, the list goes on to include homemade jams, mustards and hot sauces, etc... all sourced from our Community and delivered to your door step. But you don't have to imagine, the Experience Is Real thanks to the Organizers, Great Folks, Farmers, Makers and Bakers behind Community Supported Grocery. Our experience with them over the years has been beyond outstanding. We're eating healthier than ever, experimenting with new ingredients all the time, while supporting local people. They have bundles and programs for all sorts of budgets. Information is shared on how to store and prolong the life of these fresh foods as well as how to prepare them. You'll never have a better customer service experience than that provided by Community Supported Grocery. Good People, doing great things. Try it, you'll like it!

I joined CSG in 2022, and it's been a major highlight of living in Charleston. I do the "single" membership, which works perfectly for my two-person household. My passion is cooking, so to receive beautiful local produce every week has been amazing, and it inspires my recipes so much. Also, during the ongoing bird flu crisis, eggs were often nowhere to be found on the aisles of local grocery stores, but I always knew my eggs were coming from a local farm each week via CSG - uninterrupted supply with no price fluctuations. Their add-on shop allows you to customize your order each week with additional items like more produce, pantry staples, frozen pasta, etc. I couldn't recommend it more highly!

Want to eat healthier, support local farmers, and save money? Community Supported Grocery can help you do all three! The convenience of having fresh veggies, bread, and eggs delivered to my door every week is incredible and shockingly affordable (including options for neighbors who receive SNAP/EBT). I love the quality and variety of produce I get, and the recipes and storage tips help me use everything efficiently. I also appreciate everything that CSG does to give back to the community, including providing the option of donating your weekly delivery to a family in need if you need to skip a week when you're out of town. The care that they put into their customer service is unmatched: communication is always excellent, they can work with people's dietary restrictions, and if you encounter the very rare issue they respond quickly to any concerns. This is one service that I recommend with confidence to...
