I have been shopping here since 2012. This should have been a simple return, and exchange. The deplorable customer service I received from Alaina was vexing. I met Alaina at the exchange /refund desk where I explained i have the wrong size, and I would like to exchange it for the write size. Alaina told me I had to be refunded on the card, AND there was no other option. I would shortly learn this is a lie. I did not want to wait for a refund on debit card, but rather pay the difference of the exchanged item. I was met with a hostile attitude, and deplorable customer service. I asked to speak to the manager, and Alaina didn't say anything to me after my request. She immediately called the next person in line. It appeared she didn't call a manager as requested. Aliana did not communicate to me that she called a manager. At this point, i went to the next employee and asked if he could call a manager. Aliana thought it was good judgment to yell at us (we were in two lanes over) " I did call a manager. I dont have to call someone over the phone to contact a manager". This should have been communicated that you contacted a manager rather than say "I can help the next customer". Yes, we are used to employees picking up the phone to the page, but I know that is not the only means. I asked the holder, a white man, with a white beard to call a manager. He said sure, called the manager in front of me, and advised me a manager will be with me. Her name is Courtney. The reason this is not a 1 star review but a 3 stars is because of how Courtney handled the situation. This is how Aliana should have and could have resolved this herself. Courtney asked me how she can assist, listened to me, provided what I asked, explained why it appeared they did an exchange, and explained what my options were. Then Courtney executed a resolution that made me happy and allow me to purchase the correct product at a higher cost. Not only did she save a sale but increased the revenue on this one sale. Aliana only provided an attitude that was not presented to the customer before me, demonstrating she lacks basic customer service, and the inability to resolve minor challenges. As customers, we all understand home depot has a very relaxed and gracious return policy. I consider it hassle-free. This is why i stop shopping at another hardware store and choose to shop here. Overall, this store has great customer service, and when there has been a problem it was resolved quickly. This has been consistent since 2012 until today. Aliana should not be working exchanges as she clearly does not have the skills to resolve challenges, and she lacks customer service. Everyone else at the store (manager, cashier, older man with white beard) had terrific customer service. Your cashier smiled, said hello, and despite me clearly being upset still provided great customer service. Working in exchanges and refunds presents an opportunity to allow the customer to feel confident in shopping at home depot, exchanging items, refunding items, and makes us often feel we rather purchase another item at this store. It is an opportunity for a win/win for everyone. If Aliana is unable to identify this and the impact she has (good/bad) then she is the wrong employee that should be working there. With the loose and gracious return policy home depot has should have made this process effortlessly. EVERYTHING Courtney did, and said could have easily been duplicated by Aliana. Read moreI don't feel that they deserve even one star. I've been using curb side pick up at Aliante Home Depot for my last four orders. Each time there was a mistake. Whether it's charging me for an item they don't have or not calling me to let me know what's going on when Home Depot can't fulfill a simple order. First order I ordered online. I selected curbside pickup. After I sat in my truck for 20mins I go inside to see what was going on they said they would call someone to bring it out for me. Then asked if I would go meet the employee at lumber. That's not curbside pickup. Second order I called the store after it hadn't been fulfilled within Home Depots 2hr window. They said just drive to the store, it will be ready when I got here. I arrived and called the store because the app still said my item wasn't ready. I go inside and a girl with a nose piercing at customer service said they didn't have my item in stock. She didn't offer to call another store or ship it to me. I asked for a gift card to go to another home depot and she said they don't offer that. Finally after some time passed she gave in and gave me a gift card to go to another Home Depot. Third order was for two quarts of polyurethane. One was flat and the other was satin. I did curbside pickup and drove away. When I got home I realized they put semi-gloss instead of satin. I honestly didn't think Home Depot would mess that up but they did. Forth order was ordered April 16th at 423pm and as of April 16th at 10am my order was still processing. I again had to go into the store to find out what was going on. The first question I asked was why no one has called me. Why doesn't anyone ever call me to let me know something isn't in stock or the reason my order is taking so long to fulfill. Angie in customer service could only respond with, "I don't know" and pointed her finger at other employees and said the website is never right. What she should of done is apologize and try to figure out why my order hadn't been fulfilled. On top of all of this I asked why I couldn't use my military discount online. Read moreSo I just recently purchased a home in the North Vegas area, and the home had nice grass, which surprised me for a home in the hot region. I went into this store to get some grass treatment “stuff”. When I went outside to the outdoor area, I talked with Roman. I had high doubts that anyone would know too much about grass care if they didn’t have grass themselves. I’m happy I talked with him, because he literally broke down all the things for me to better understand and knew a TON about what I needed. Such as when to apply, how to apply, what temps were recommended, etc. and all without reading anything on the bag aside from the nitrogen levels I should be cautious of. He was extremely nice and knowledgeable on the subject! I was seriously happy I talked with him about it. I may of spelt your name wrong “Roman/Romen” but thanks again buddy. I will now be making this location my regular store.
(On another occasion) EDIT: I’d like to also add, Chris that works in tool rental, is awesome!!! Really friendly, and knowledgeable! He helped me pick exactly what tools I needed to get my job done! He showed full interest in my project, and helped me make tool choice decisions. He showed me how each tool worked with the needed adjustments, and helped me load it all into my vehicle. I love this location, and I’m glad it’s so close to my house. The only thing I’m not glad about, is how I will spending SOOO much time and money in this...
