The people were really friendly and gave me information on what I wanted and once I made my decision they helped me to the counter by carrying the box and then they had trouble scanning a box and finally they finished and asked me if I wanted help taking the box out and putting it in my car .. And I asked if it was heavy and she said not really so I said no.... ( Lucky me) So I picked up the box ( how I am a 66 yr old man and disabled) and looked at her and asked are you sure there was something in the box?? And she said oh sure there is .. and I said will I don't think so . And told her to open it in front of me/her and guess what... Nothing in the box... How if I got out that door what are the chances of me getting my money back or getting a new one.. 1% maybe 20% But with what kind of arguments would I've had to do? How you noticed I didn't put the item i got or anything.. The people involved know who they are because they took another 15 minutes getting one from somewhere else.. and fixed the problem.. And I think this might be a problem with the management, not the people on the floor... But it could have been because the item was between $200/$300 But my honest opinion thinks it was just a mistake on their part.. so I let them go without losing my temper and that is good for me.. but I think Management should take care of this problem before the next person spending money he doesn't have on something they need and then have no money and...
Read moreIf I could honestly give no stars I would I walked in with a simple question Carol, who I found out at the end of all this was the manager was amazing! However, the other two associates Ron and the young lady at the printing area, who didn’t have her name tag on were both EGREGIOUS! When asking the printing associate for assistance she told me the were out of what I needed and that I needed to call the other store, giving no location phone number nothing, and called for the next customer. I then went to Ron to request a manager and he was combative telling me that I can go look for one on the floor. Inserting they get upset when they call for a manager…So would he have me walk up to each associate asking if they were a manager…? So I asked if I was a customer with an issue and needed a manager what would you do…he said he would call them…so I asked what the difference was he went on to tell me that it’s early so I need to go look for one. When I asked him for the corporate number he then said, “why would he have that!” I’m so confused where customer service has gone in 2023, and perhaps Ron needs a lesson, as he works In a store and doesn’t know either. I would rather just take my business elsewhere and pay more than to deal with rude lazy people! Read moreI went in the store last week to purchase resume’ paper and saw a group of office chairs that caught my eye. I wanted to wait a few days until my social security check arrived and so I went in looking for just that specific brown chair for $99. Hurray! I found it- had to wheel it to the front of the store to get some help. The girl was kind and helpful- as we found out it was the last one and staples wouldn’t be restocking this. I said “so, can I have it?” She had to ask the manager BRIAN. At first, he didn’t get the concept of there would be no more of these chairs coming and it was the last one. Wouldn’t that mean they would want it to go? Possibly as a clearance item??? Well, he finally understood and then told me he would have to upcharge me because it was already put together or I had to buy the insurance!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE???? He saw I was an old woman and I told him I had saved up the money to purchase it at $99. What a loser manager!!!
