Store looked like a ghost town! There shelves were half bare. I came to Michael's specifically for 1 item. Metal Models from Metal Earth. They have all kinds of plastic models like cars, tanks, but mostly vehicles of some sort. They wooden models of sorts. They only had 2 Metal Earth models, 2! I had checked online prior to visiting the store to make sure it wasn't a wasted trip. Now they don't have a large selection of models online, however they did advertise they had at least 10-12 different models to choose from. So when I arrived to find only 2 models I was a little thrown back. I tried to search for an employee, but I guess employees were just as scarce as their shelves of product were. When I finally located an employee, it was like I was bothering her by asking questions! I shouldn't have to play hide & seek to locate someone to help. I was not aware you were not allowed to ask questions here! My mother is a HUGE crafter!!! She LOVES Michael's for all her crafting needs, I was so bummed out on how the associate made me feel, I will not be coming back to this location. I will now shop @Hobby Lobby for all my mothers crafting needs. Which sucks because Hobby Lobby is definitely more expensive then Michael's but they have a better selection of everything ( metal models included). So...
Read moreI love Michaels but this is the 2nd time I’ve had a bad experience with their curbside pickup. The first time I ordered items in the morning, 4 hours later still no email saying my items were ready so I called and was told to drive over at 5:30, which I did, I called when I got there and was told my order was still not ready then they put me on hold, another person then answered and said my order was cancelled. I drove over to the store for nothing but a phone call and an apology. The 2nd time I ordered I made sure that I would receive the items the same day because I need them for a project, again, 4 hours later still no email so I call again but this time I am told that my items won’t be ready til the next day. I spoke with the manager and she claimed that they have over 300 orders daily but in my offense I only ordered the items because it said I would get them the same day, I couldve ordered elsewhere but didn’t due to that statement and putting my trust in their store. I really hope management figures out how to fix this problem especially for high risk individuals like myself who can’t roam...
Read moreI went in to pick up my online order. I get there and I’m searching for my name on the bins and i don’t see it. This old lady was working and i let her know i couldn’t find my order. And she says “are you sure? Did you check?” I said yes. And she proceeded to check the bins and i looked at her and told her again it’s not there. So she asks me what was in the order. I tell her. Then she asks for my name, i tell her. She opens a cabinet behind the register i see my bag and she wants me to tell her the order #. I tell her take my stuff and leave. The whole purpose of online ordering is to avoid people. Buy online pick it up in store and get out. The fact that she drilled me with multiple questions pissed me off. I gave her my name that should have been enough. Do you guys drill and question everyone who wants to pick up an online order? That’s the reason the carts are at the door right? So it’s convenient for us to find our order and leave? All the questioning was unnecessary. I hope you don’t treat all online...
