Danstation School of Dance — Local services in North Lebanon Township

When we first started at Danstation, I was shocked by how last minute everything was. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, as we were still just coming out of covid closures. However as we moved into the second year it became clear it was just normal practice for the owner.

We'd show up to classes on multiple occasions without teachers there because they never bothered to let us know the classes had been cancelled. Mandatory rehearsal dates were given with a weeks notice, and most always outside of our normal class day/times. We were told one week prior to the Christmas recital that my daughter would need a red dress for the show. Which was a difficult task as I'm sure you can imagine (as the show was 3 days before Christmas!) The Christmas recital was a joke in and of itself. Not only did they rent a way too small space, they sold more tickets than there were seats available. And put no effort into the show itself. The dancers did a fantastic job, however those in charge just showed up. No decorations whatsoever and had to "find" extra chairs.

We paid for a parade bundle (well over $100) in the beginning of the year and never received the first parade outfit. When questioned, the owner told me the outfits were in her car and she'd have it there next time and never did.

Which brings me to the severely poor communication. They never respond to emails. They would direct questions to the email account, then you'd never get a response. In fact when we had enough and decided to pull my daughter out, I received zero communication that they had gotten our request to pull her from classes. I had to continuously check her online account to ensure we were no longer being billed for classes.

Costumes were outrageously priced. Multiple costumes. And then the dancers were expected to be at the recital location ALL DAY (I literally dropped my 5 year old off at 12) and then perform a 3.5 hour recital. Two days in a row.

This dance studio was easily the best thing to happen to my life. Becky became a second mom to me and always had my back through everything. She is a phenomenal teacher that puts each and every student before herself, along with being an incredible mom to 5 children, which is not nearly as easy as she makes it look. It is amazing all that she has accomplished with Danstation. From having her dancers make it to the Macy's Day Parade to getting invites to preform in Disney World, on cruises, and many other insane opportunities. She has had special guests come and help share their dance experiences and talents such as people from Dance Moms Miami, Dancing with the Stars, and even provides the opportunity for her students to accompany her on a trip to New York City's Broadway Dance Center to expand their horizons in the world of dance. Her classes are very VERY reasonably priced for all you get to experience and the prices of costumes are obviously a standard across all studios due to the fact they are company manufactured, and she never picks anything too expensive. She also always gives her students an input on the costumes, making sure they can handle the prices and feel comfortable in it. Which is something very rare for a dance teacher to do. Along with that, she is a firm believer in honoring her student's opinions when it comes to choreography and music selection. The studio itself is a beautiful and warming place to be. Floor to ceiling mirrors, a nice black dance floor that is constantly maintained, and great lighting. Never have I ever had an issue being there, everything was always fully functioning and in prime condition. Becky will always be a valued and significant part of my life. She is a phenomenal individual who clearly understands how to teach dance and better your understanding of the art. I would recommend this studio to everyone near and far. Danstation School of Dance is one of the best things that ever has happened to me. I've danced my entire life, and started at this dance studio when I was in middle school. Every performance we were in was clearly communicated with plenty of time in advance to prepare for buying the costume or learning the routine. I watched my dance skills get better and better as the years went on and I moved up in the dance age classes, going from a stuck in my ways hip hop dancer to a well rounded dancer; learning ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical, eventually becoming a teacher for the studio. Becky is an amazing dance teacher. She is kind, an amazing dancer, and is extremely passionate about dance and sharing the art with others. She has opened so many doors for me and provided me with several options for once in a life time opportunities: dancing with stars from Dancing With The Stars and So You Think You Can Dance, dancing in Disney's Dance The Magic Christmas Parade, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, performing in the mall in the Halloween show and Christmas shows, and dancing in parades. I love my Danstation family. I could never repay Becky for all she has done for me, and am so so so thankful to have been a part of this dance studio.
