As I was reading tonight I came across Acts Chapter 2 v47 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. This verse brought to mind how God directed me to Lifeway Church where many since I started going that have been saved by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I used to think that one didn't have to go to church to believe or have a relationship with God. I used to believe that he loves me and I could just have that private relationship with him without anyone else. Until...God showed me I needed to be with and in the body of Christ fellowshipping with his children. I didn't quite understand why but I trusted his leading. After some years I found myself at Lifeway Church after being invited. It was a perilous time all around and I felt I had found home.
The best way to describe Lifeway Church was the vision I had when I first started going. Have you ever seen a preview of a movie and thought I have to see it as soon as it comes out, with an excitement and something you look so forward to seeing. Well my friends that's exactly how it feels going to Lifeway its a preview of Heaven on earth and what Heaven will be like one day when we get there. The joy, peace, fellowship, safety, love, unity and with one accord that is felt every time leaves me wanting so much more for my life on earth and eternally than ever before. God has done a wonderful work in my life and continues to.
Another thing I used to think was I don't need to be in church to love others and be there for others. Than God brought to mind how can you love your family but never see them or fellowship with them. That hit home.
The body of Christ is the best family I have ever known and will ever know. I am so thankful for Jesus who sets us free and has given us the most beautiful family we'll ever know.
I'll enclose with the following verses below, it resonates so deeply with my heart.
Philippians 1 3I thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. 7 It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. 8 God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus. 9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and...
Read moreI've been at this church for a few years I have questions.... Questions that need answers.... Questions I should be able to direct towards other leaders with solution. Ultimately, this Congregation has become huge and I believe may have lost the capacity to handle so many members. If you have questions or if you feel like you are part of the body of Christ for solution and you can't get a response to a text it means one of two things. 1: I am not significant enough through status to move the hearts of "other leaders" in this Church though I have succeeded in many others. 2:Theyre just too busy. If your a small person with small needs but God has called you to action to serve then we are allowed to have questions and my time is equal to theirs. Is it not??? Maybe go smaller
I learned a lot of lessons from this church. I learned how to build my own temple. I learned we all have a capacity and it's not limitless and people are human. I hope in the future you guys can find time and compassion for the little guy for the one of these 99 who don't go after that One......
Isn't that what God is calling for now??? News flash my other 99 Brothers he's calling for that one and he wants us to go get that one. For all of Heaven Will rejoice for that one person that repents not for the...
Read moreDecember 31, 2017 I attended a young adults New Years Eve party at the home of the young adults leaders while in town to visit a friend from college. In November of 2018, nearly a year later, I attended Lifeway Church for the first time. Renee Groff, the young adults leader at the time, saw me at church that morning, remembered me, and personally welcomed me and asked me how I was doing. This is just one experience of many that day that became the reason I knew Lifeway would be the church for me! In fact, I loved Lifeway so much that for the first year I went there I drove 45 minutes every Sunday to get there! Everyone at Lifeway is so friendly, welcoming, and hospitable - and I’m not just talking about the staff and volunteers either - the members and congregants of this church are top notch! Add that all to an excellent worship experience and engaging and challenging Bible-based teachings that are applicable to everyone regardless of age, gender, or socioeconomic background, and I can’t think of a reason you wouldn’t want to check this...
