Atmosphere is old school with some record players but that’s all the hype, their breakfast food used to be what they’re known for. After stopping there today, we got pathetic portion sizes, completely missed toast which I don’t know how you do, and the food was bland and unseasoned. Chocolate chip pancakes weren’t too bad but it’s completely overpriced, we got 2 hearth specials and it came out to about $40, what we got: in mine, one egg and a single scoop size of hash brown, scrapple, no toast, and 2 pancakes, the portion size was tinyyyyy, girlfriend got the same but with home fries and they didn’t have much of a golden crisp more of a dark brown burnt look/taste. We got home and added our own seasoning. Still wasn’t as good as they used to be. Service was a pity, the man at the register was rude & scolding; the lady that brought our food gave us one napkin and told us she gave us some….we got one singular napkin 😐 sad just sad what the lebanon hearth has come to, park city diner is way better! $16 for more than all of that and it’s virtually the same order. Way more food the hash browns are buttery and have color/flavor, and they don’t skip on your eggs or bacon.

Usually when I go it’s always absolutely amazing, well I haven’t been there for a few months and tonight I went with a few friends and it was the absolute worst food ever. The waitress was absolutely amazing, the sweetest ever! But I had ordered eggs and they had came out raw so I asked to be cooked longer, which they came out and they were still not fully cooked and I had mentioned it but ā€œthat is how they are cookedā€ is what I got back from the cook. My potato’s were half done and half not done at all. My sister and I got similar things and hers was all perfect, so I’m wondering how all my food was disgusting. Plus, when I went to complain to the ā€œmanagerā€ or whatever the lady was, first has the worst attitude ever, second she had me pay full price. Which I do understand since it had a bite or two out of it, but I had complained twice and only had a few bites out of it. I’m fairly surprised with the outcome.

Eating at the Hearth was great it was yummy and it was made with perfection. Though the menu was gigantic it was hard to pick out what my boyfriend and I wanted to have. The cups for drinks are much smaller than you usually would get at other places. There weren't many waiters or waitresses working there was at least one or two. Which was why we weren't tend to right away which is understandable. The place is classic and is very still vintage from it's time so all booths have these little jukeboxes you can play music on. Even right before you walk in there are these vintage arcade games and such you can play on. Although the only main complaint was that the entrance coming in was tight because of that.

On Saturday 11-15-18, I recieved a call from my very upset (African American) sister on how she felt violated to the highest degree by a Caucasian male an his wife, at the Harth (Family) restaurant., when he came to her table an perceded to consistently call her an animal in front of her pregnant daughter an grandchild . He stated, she was (loud) and an animal an if she felt she could pull the race card she would be sadly mistaken ..( my sister said nothing of that situation). I feel if he had a problem he should of consulted w/ management instead of confronting a table full of females.... My sister servered in the army an the navy proudly an she sees no color so, she asked management to calls the police to help elevate the situation. An before they came the management had aske her as well as the male to leave . As long as the 7 years (2011)that my sister has been here ( Lebanon pa) the Harth has been a stable place to take family and friends. Know she refuses as well as myself to go back there, this is due to feeling that others ( customers) might be able to confront an name call regular customers with out consequences. As a person in management I truly understand about elevating a situation but, I am not benieth apologizing to anyone especially if it will help make things right!!!! The Harth has violated a code of trust for most people involved an I will continue to let everyone know about this until my sister recieved the proper apology for being put out for someone else’s issues....

I’ve ordered here a few times & thought they were decent. I don’t like to complain ever, but I’m still in shock 2 hours later. I ordered takeout, just a chicken quesadilla. I’m pregnant & have been craving one all day. As soon as I opened the box it smelt so sour, I knew IMMEDIATELY that the chicken was spoiled! My boyfriend who was 5 feet away from me when opening the box was shocked and immediately said ā€œmy god that’s what I’ve been smelling the ride home!ā€ I’ve never in my life smelt cooked food so sour and rancid!!

I’m not sure how the cook who made the food, and the server who bagged up the order didn’t notice a smell. My boyfriend…who drove 20 minutes there & 20 minutes back to get the order even smelt a funky smell the ride home. He didn’t think much of it on the ride home as he had the windows down & you just don’t expect to be served food so sour you can smell it through a box and bag a foot away on your passenger seat with the windows down.

Needless to say it was taken back and I was given a refund, but the cooks answer to this was ā€œthe chicken is premade, I didn’t see anything wrong with it.ā€

They didn’t seem to care, so who knows if they even threw out that bad batch of chicken.

The hearth is lucky the chicken was that spoiled that I was able to smell it prior to even touching it, If I had eaten this and it affected my unborn child they would’ve had a lawsuit on their hands.

I will never order from or recommend this establishment to anyone from this...

We came in and were the only family in there with 1 couple. We sat for 30-45 minutes before we got our appetizers. We asked for clarification on if the potato skins would feed us, the waitress misled us and LIED saying ā€œyes ma’am its a full entree for you all!!ā€ What came out? ONE SINGLE BAKED POTATO for $10 damn dollars. Is this place that desperate for money you sell a potato as ā€œloaded tater skinsā€ ??? 2 women came in about 20 minutes after and received all of their food before us. Not to mention the waitress was friends with them, handing them change to go ahead and blast music while people try to eat. We had sat for an hour before receiving our first entree which was purely raw chicken !!! Charged us full price and didnt give a damn to see us go. As someone who has been in customer service for years, you can make us aware when we come in that theres 1 person working. You can also make sure that youre prioritizing the customers who come in! They all sat around chit chatting instead of helping who was in the back, again with maybe 5–8 people in the place. The soup was cold, the salad came with the wrong dressing, our waitress couldnt even tell us info on the menu properly without lying through her teeth. Overall one of the worst experiences as a family that just moved here. Will NEVER be returning due to the sheer fact that there was no care, customer service, or attention to...
