Lou the Barber conducts his business unproffessionaly. This use to be a cash barbershop and my son was his 1st customer when he opened. Now he insists customers book and pay for appointments through an App called THECUT. This was not an issue until I booked my sons appointment AND MY CREDIT CARD charged . Shortly after booking I recieved a message from him stating that he was out of town. Why would you not close all appointments on the App until you return? I never recieved a refund nor did he attempt to reschedule my sons appointment. When I contacted him asking when we could come in (as he already had my 26 dollars) he ignored my phone calls (deciding to text instead) He then told me; via text, to book an appointment using the App. Seriously? The App will not book an appointment unless I pay again. I advised him of this and he insisted that the App wouldn't charge me until I come in. So how did you get my 26 dollars after YOUR MISTAKE, if I never came in? Lesson learned! Your 1st customer is now someone else's customer.
The owners response to my review speaks volumes. Normally business owners respond to unpleasant reviews with apologies and offers of resolution, not arguments. I never clicked cancel on the App at any point. I was the one who informed you that if I did so I wouldn't be issued a refund. You told me not to worry about it and that we'd set something up when you returned. When I attempted to do so you were dismissive and unwilling to accommodate. Let's tell the truth here. I'd like to have a refund via CashAp. That's the only resolution at this point. I booked the appointment via the App and YOU were the reason for any cancellation and/or miscommunication. I never had an issue with booking an appointment through the App. The issue is that my money was taken without service rendered; FOR NO FAULT OF MY OWN. This isn't me bashing your business. Just as you are entitled to run your business as you choose; I am entitled to rate my experience with your business as I see fit. Read moreI was just finishing a 7 day stay in the Virgin Islands and stayed two extra days in Miami and I needed to get fresh again... I struck Gold! Thumbing through yelp and I landed on this page and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The shop was closed but he just happen to be in the shop and accepted me as a walk in. From start to finish, it was a very high end but down to earth experience. The barber made me feel right at home and at one point I even fell asleep. What a great experience!
