Some of the foods are good, and for some there are room for improvement. The market hash and rainbow toast is very good. The concept of the breakfast menu I like warm cooked meals and a little touch of the south with the biscuit and gravy . I think that is unique. The biscuit and gravy need help it is bland with no taste. The oatmeal is too dry and it is not tasty . The oat meal need to be cooked and have more body it should not be like a big lump of oats rolled up together it need liquid. The pecan salad is a five star. The market Hash id a four star.I just think that the restaurant is not the worst they are some good stuff on the menu the hibiscus tea is good, but misleading when the menu stated that it has basil. It does not have basil it is garnish with one basil leave. Please get that false advertisement right. If you order the drink and you asked for no ice they will bring you the drink in a smaller glad how low. So if you order with ice they fill the glass with more ice than hibiscus juice. I do not wish to pay for hibiscus tea but is drinking a glass full off ice and drinking some water down juice. That is a shame . I notice the person who is responding back to these reviews the responses are highly generic and with the dame wording and apology. I hope that is not the culture or the way they expect the employees to serve, all scripted customer service. People like purposeful and sincere service.
I usually go to the Miami gardens and Sheridan location. The table are not cleaned in a timely manner. Forget it for both locations if you go close to closing. The focus should be the client first and the cleaning and filling the sugar jaws after you take care of the clients.
The biggest problem I have with the food at the Miami Gardens location I went around 15 minutes before close my market Hash was served burnt ...I had my salad and felt full I did not want to disturb the crew that was mostly tasking and rushing to close and leave. I made my hash to go. I tried to eat it , but the burnt market hash was very harsh on my stomach . The little that I ate in less than a hour it gave me diarrhea. I called spoke with the manger to report the problem. When I got there you could tell that they were gossiping about me. the guy at the desk I say him making eye movement alerting someone in the kitchen that is as there. I saw the manager and another side talking and everyone in the kitchen was looking at me whatever that was discussed I am not sure. I payed for my salad and they made another hash. I asked the manager if she could heat up the chicken for the salad since it was cold. She told me that they do not have anything to warm it up. The manager Diani did not seem genuine in her aplogogy and the food and the rest if the burnt up food that I took back to show them. When I called to make the complaint I was put on hold for ten minutes and I had to call back a second time I was put on hold again another five minutes before I could talk to someone.
When it is near to close forget it everything and service is rushed and the focus is on cleaning up and trying to go home not the customer. That day that I was served the burnt market hash because of laziness and rushed work that waiter never came back. Tips become importance than client oriented. Another big problem this happened many times I request for hot water and when you poor the water the hot water in the tea pot is brown. If I am allergic to coffee my hot water for tea is infused with the dirty tea pot from another customer that was served coffee.
This tells me that they are not washing the tea pots after each customer. They may rinse it out and repour from the same dirty handle that everyone is touching. One of the response I got from one of the waiter was that that the brownish fluid is coming from the lid. Omg I looked at her and I said so are you implying that the lids are not wash after each use. She apologized and got me new hot water. I would not be surprise that a potential food infection will break out in...
Read moreMax handled the situation very poorly. After checking in with him, we received a canceled off waitlist text. His response was that it was not our system. Nothing I can do. We had just checked in with him. he found me on the list and told me 5-7 more minutes, so we went outside. Less than 5 minutes later, we get a canceled off waitlist text. We asked for a manager, and Max took it personally and defensive. This was also happening to someone else, and he was handling that situation poorly as well. When the manager Justin stepped in didn't care to confirm that we had checked in with Max on time, simply looked at my texts and said you were notified and didn't check in in time when that wasn't the case. While I'm speaking with the manager, Max raised his voice to state, "It's NOT MY FAULT." I stated to him that no one is blaming you no need to take it personal. Unfortunately, it was the fault of Max as he did not properly check us in as we did not receive a confirmation text stating our table will be ready soon. Clearly seeing that Justin is struggling I asked for the corporate number, as he went to retrieve corporates number for us I was having a personal conversation with my wife about the situation, Max interjected into my conversation, stated stop talking to me, I responded no one is speaking to you. He got irate and repeatedly, with a raised voice stated "stop saying my name, stop saying my name." I said to him I do not know your name what your name is." He kept repeating, "Stop saying my name. " The head server stepped in and stated she would prefer to deescalate the situation and move us away from Max. I replied to her, I like how you are going after me when Max is the one escalating the situation. She responded appropriately and moved us aside. The fact that in front of leadership, this individual will harass and antagonize customers means this behavior is allowed. I have nothing but praise for the young lady who is the head server, she was the only person that seemed to try to resolve the situation vs escalating it. She should definitely be promoted as she is acting as leadership when her leadership is struggling. Justin definitely needs more training as his first step was to blame the customer for something that Max...
Read moreI have visited this location 3x in the last week. The first two times were pretty decent however today's visit wasn't the case. We were estimated a 20-30 minute wait and waited 50 minutes after watching several parties seated before us. When we questioned the wait time we were told that there were two parties ahead of us after watching 4 different parties get seated. We gave them a pass, understanding it is the holiday time and they were very busy. However what we couldn't give them a pass on, is the quality of food that we were served. We waited another 25 minutes for food that when served... was cold. The turkey links were cold, the potatoes were undercooked and cold on everyone's plate. This was quite disappointing especially while we watched other folks seated around us getting served their meals with steam rising from their plates. Our meal should receive 1 star however I am giving our visit 2 stars only because of our waitress Carolina who despite our complaints was helpful and did her best to give us great service regardless of the confusion or lack of effort in the kitchen for our meal. We did speak with the Operational Manager who apologized for the quality of the meal and listen to our concerns and comp'd our meal and I can appreciate that thoughtfulness however we still left hungry and dissatisfied. I get that every meal won't be perfect however that is the expectation of every patron that walks through your door when heading out for a meal. Today's summary: Kind attentive wait staff, food hit or miss! Although I am glad that Management saw fit to make an attempt to resolve our issue, today was a definitely a miss. Hopefully if I choose to visit this location again, I can update my review to a more...
