As I have enjoyed multiple events at carlisle over the past 13ish years, truck nationals has been one I make it to every year. But these past couple years has turned me away. You boast about the "low show", low limbo, and drag competition but then you treat the mini trucks terrible and shove them in the corner. I've had issues with the staff being arrogant the past 3 years over the simplest stuff instead of taking a calm approach and coming to a agreement. This time the security caused a big stink in the low show and escalated the situation, myself and 3 friends werent allowed to drive our trucks down to the glow show to put our lights on because your staff told us we can only leave and go out the gate instead of participating in one of YOUR events. Last year I had trouble getting to drag competition I was participating in because your staff once again told me I couldn't go a certain way and was arrogant, 2 years ago I got yelled at by staff because they weren't communicating while I was coming through the gate per staff member but the other gate staff had a car turning around and I got yelled at for some reason. I will not put up with the arrogance and I believe alot of other people have had the same problem with arrogant staff. We get it's a big event but don't treat people that are giving you a job poorly. The low show was extremely light this year and I predict next year will be even worse. Now how are you going to have low limbo or drag contest if you ran out all of those people?
Next, NO ONE likes the drag contest or burnouts at the track. Actually listen to the people that are supporting your event!!!! You can't see anything because it's so full and then we get responded to "it's first come first serve" when you have the grandstand that could fit alot more people easier. The track is not good for anything at truck nationals. You can't see, the speakers are terrible and it's just a poor design. You had people climbing the rock wall up along the turnpike just so they could see and that didn't make carlisle events look good at all. The roads are all messed up, the pa system sucks, most of the staff sucks, but yet you don't improve anything people are complaining about. I think you really need to listen to your participants and wonder why most of your shows are...

Read moreThe NCCC judged show was only a shadow of the past. Pathetic. The celebrity judges never even showed up where the few cars in my area were parked, and we never left our cars, as their rules required. Participants near us had to tell the head judge at the very end that the engine judging team had never appeared at our cars. So few cars that there were very few 2nd and no 3rd place awards given. If you showed up, you won. That's what it felt like. Winning meant nothing but a participation trophy! YCCC give it up! Carlisle overall very similar. Many vendors listed did not show up. Even the midway was thinner. You could not find stuff that you wanted to purchase for your project. I bought nothing. Also, you had no way of knowing when burnouts, loud exhaust fun events, etc were going to be held. You could not hear about them over the muffled PA system. For me and others in our Club a waste of time. Used to be long lines down the road to get in. Not this year. This was my last Carlisle! Sad! In part to be fair, I blame the greedy PA DOR a few years back for clamping down on the cash & carry wheel & deal nature of flea market type vendors as well as the big boys. That is when events like Carlisle were fun. DOR had to punish these tax evaders! But they killed the golden goose and lost most of the tax revenue outside the fair grounds gates as...
