This was a terrible experience. I had bought a new screen at the El Paso location 2 weeks prior. They sold me a Simple Snap glass screen protector and told me I was doubly protected. Not only did the Simple Snap cover $150.00 in damage but my new screen was guaranteed for 6 months. I was preparing to leave on an international trip and was dismayed to notice that my new screen protector had a big scratch across it. But it didn’t feel scratched so I lifted it off the glass to see that my whole screen was cracked. No damage to the screen protector. I decided that I could not go to Ecuador with a broken phone and my husband and I went to the Southlake TX location only to learn that they don’t repair phones. So we had to drive another 20 min. to North Richland Hills. I called to see if I needed an appt. and was told that there was no waiting but that it was first come first serve. We went straight there and there was still no waiting. I was then told that my new phone screen was NOT warrantied to breakage. Which I was explicitly promised in El Paso. And that it would be my responsibility to file a claim with Simple Snap. Since I was leaving town I agreed to have it fixed. I needed a new battery and he said it would take one hour to repair and replace the battery. Since we lived 30 min. away and it was almost rush hour we decided to wait. My husband slept in the car and I went to a nail salon across the street. Almost 2 hours later we still had heard nothing. We went in and we’re told that they’d gotten busy and it would be another hour. I told the kid that we had two dogs inside our house and would have gone home if we knew it might take 3 hours. Instead we were told one hour. He was angry with my complaint and yelled that they were short handed two employees and they got slammed. I told him that in the future he should tell people it could be MUCH longer. He didn’t want to hear it. Plus, now I had to buy another screen protector because the Simple Snap was ruined. It still looked like new to me. We waited in the car another hour and a half. Finally it was done, but surprise, after all that, no new battery, they were out of those iPhone 7 Plus batteries. Almost 4 hours and $200. later I was finally going home to file my Simple Snap claim. Which was denied because it appears that there was no damage to it, and it must have been a faulty screen. Which I agree with. If I wasn’t sitting at the airport tethered to a charger because of my already nearly dead battery, I would be raising a big stink with Batteries Plus. That will have to wait until I get home. As far as I’m concerned it’s one of the worst examples of poor customer service I’ve ever seen....
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars I would. worst customer service experience I have ever had. avoid this place. take your business somewhere that actually cares about customers.
This company as a whole has a huge disconnect as to what is promised or advertised on its website and what goes on in its actual locations. This is the second negative experience I have had with a batteries plus and I wish I would have learned the first time. I understand that these many be locally owned franchises but if you want to benefit from the corporate advertising- you should be willing to follow through on the convenience of having business brought your way through the website.
Set an appointment on Thursday Aug 17th to have my phone repaired at 7:30pm and received a confirmation online that my appointment was set. Made the 20 minute drive to the store and when I arrived, on time, and stated that I had an appointment, the man working at the store refused service to me. The guy couldn't care less about what was promised, and after showing him my confirmation email, stated that he would not fix my phone because "he didn't get an email."
Frankly, this guy needs to be fired - and what was further embarrassing for this location is that he couldn't even tell me what the owners name was. "Uh, we just call him Doc." This guy was just happy to get out of doing a little extra work. I'm truly sorry that my attempt to offer my business came at such an inconvenient time.
Took my phone to Fix it Fast in Southlake today and had my phone repaired in 30 minutes...
