Honestly, I was really skeptical of the whole E-collar training. After reading quite a few reviews from all over the country, I decided to give the two-week board and train program a try. I needed to do something as our GSD\Husky mix was getting a little out of control. Counter surfing, jumping on everyone that walks in the door, and if the door was left open for the slightest min, she was down the street and ignoring any recall, and walking her was a huge chore. During her training, Eric sent daily updates. These updates were awesome. We could see her progress each day and Eric explained how he was using the E-collar in her training. Well, it has been two weeks since we picked up our girl and WOW, Eric did an AMAZING job with her. What a different girl we have. She listens and is responsive to every command. No more counter surfing, she waits to greet when someone walks in the door, and if the door is left open, she is not running down the street. When we take our walks, it is very pleasant now, no more pulling or cutting us off. We are off leash, and she loves it. Her confidence level is very high. Eric THANK YOU!

I was highly delighted with K9 off leash training Northern Utah done by Levi Garrett. It is never easy to fully understand or have faith in a trainer when you don't know how your dog will respond to them or even if they will learn anything from them. Levi did a fantastic job of providing Chopper updates and clear instruction videos on how to perform specific commands. Now that Chopper has been back home for more than a week, I am really pleased with the training. When it comes to listening, he is an entirely different dog! Also, it is such a relief to be able walk and not have to worry about being dragged around or that my dog may charge at another dog just to say hello. In addition, I was quite anxious to take my dog anywhere since I knew that if he managed to escape his leash, there would be no way to get him to come back, even if I called his name. Although my dog has always been quite lovely, having a dog who can listen to me makes life so much more fun. For everyone who buys a dog, I highly suggest the two-week board and train program! Thanks again Levi for giving us back such a good boy! -Abby and Ben

I recently had the pleasure of entrusting my 13 week old puppy to Levi for a 10 day board and training program. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. From the moment I met Levi, it was clear that he is passionate about dogs and dedicated to their training. Over the course of the ten days, I received daily pictures and progress videos. They truly set my mind at ease to see Andy in a calm and loving environment and that he felt safe and secure. The transformation in my puppy is remarkable. He now exhibits a level of calmness and good behavior that I never thought possible at such a young age. Levi explained he uses play to create a strong relationship and builds a loving bond to implement effective training techniques that were tailored to my puppies needs making them fun, enjoyable and productive. I wholeheartedly recommend Levi to anyone looking for quality training and care for their dogs. I look forward to additional training sessions when Andy moves into adolescence. Thank you, Levi, for your excellent work!

Abusive unethical treatment of my dog during board and train. I contracted for a two week board and train to help me get a head start on working with a bouncy new dog we had rescued. I was told the training was all play and relationship based. I was concerned when I picked my dog up from the two week board and train because he kept trying to run away from the training room and hide behind my legs during turnover. Levi shocked him at such a high level that he cried multiple times when demonstrating commands (he told me that he was at a level 9 on a higher voltage collar than he originally started with because the dog is "stubborn" and "lazy."). I think dogs should always love training or something is being done wrong. Although I am not opposed to e collars in principle, I believe it was overused due to a lack of skill in really understanding this dog. When my dog came home I switched entirely to positive reinforcement because of what I had seen. At first my dog flinched when I gave him commands. He winced and turned on his side. He seemed afraid but like he did not know what to do to avoid punishment. I found an injury on his neck in the area the e-collar had been used. He is now working willingly and happily for me. There is never any "stubbornness" or "laziness." He loves training time. The program I purchased came with lifetime support if I returned for a follow up appointment, which of course I didn't do, because I could not fathom making my dog go back to the place of his mistreatment, and why would I want any more "advice" from abusive psuedo-trainers anyway? I did contact Levi about these concerns and he took zero accountability--which means he will do the same thing...

If you are considering whether your dog would benefit from OLK9’s board and train program, he will! We have a Border Collie we bought when he was 10 months-old. After we got him home, we noticed some issues with him we did not feel we knew how to correct. Specifically, our dog was reactive to people, dogs and the leash. He demonstrated an abysmal confidence level when we took him anywhere other than our back yard or the dog park. We felt even though we had several well-behaved dogs in the past, we did not have the expertise to help our dog. Enter Alex at the Northern Utah OLK9. Alex did a phenomenal job! He treated our dog with love and respect. Alex figured out what makes our dog tick and what he responds to. He then customized our dog’s training accordingly. The result: Not only is our dog 100% off leash, but his confidence has increased significantly. No more pulling and cowering on walks. His obedience is spot on. We couldn’t be more pleased. We were concerned about how Alex would implement the E-collar into the training. Alex quickly elevated any negative concerns. We were amazed at how well our dog responded to Alex’s masterful use of the e-collar. Our dog loves Alex and gets excited when he simply hears Alex’s voice. Also, as we love our dog and were concerned about his well being and progress during his training, we looked forward to receiving daily video and text updates from Alex. We consider this the greatest training our dog could have received. We are considering having Alex help us with Therapy Dog training in the future. Alex’s OLK9 board and train program was worth every penny and more! ...

We have a 4.5 year old belgium malinois/ blue heeler mix who had a hard time after our German shepherd passed away. He was very nervous and didn't know when he needed to be aggressive or be calm. He liked to jump up on people and would not listen when out in public on walks or at the park. He nipped at a person and after looking for a trainer we decided to go to off leash. Tyler was our trainer and we could not be more gracious for what he has done to our dog. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and most of all he loves the animals! We did the basic obedience training (4 week course). The first lesson was rough to say the least. Our dog was jumping and yelping and wouldn't listen. We came home and worked on what Tyler had started and within a week everyone who came over noticed a difference. We just completed our course and I cannot be more amazed by what confidence he has instilled in our dog. He listens on command, people come to our house and he will stay in any command or place we put him in, and he has just turned into a completely different dog. I was very hesitant to take him to a trainer, because he was such a pain in the butt and I was nervous we would be told he is helpless. Tyler was unbelievably patient with our dog and has turned him into an amazing pup who I now trust to be out front with me and not take off or go after someone. Anyone looking for a trainer should 1000% consider Tyler and off Leash training. You will not be...
