Shopping for MOB dresses can be so stressful! I've ordered from some companies as well as high end stores and every time I'd get the dress delivered it didn't look like the photos online. Also, it's so hard to try on a dress when part of you is a size 8, another part a 12, another part a 14! It's a struggle at this age. After searching for months online I came upon DressHaute Bridal and Special Occasion Boutique. I looked at the dresses and right away saw "the one"! I was in love with the dress but wondered if it really would look like that "in real life". I was unsure about sizing so I contacted the shop. I was so blessed to be connected to Carrie, the shop owner. Carrie told me about the dress and after discussing the size she offered to make it to my size. What?! Like, what shop just does that? Usually you order a size then have to get it altered. A large might fit in one area of my body but another may be smaller or larger. Carrie had me send my measurements and told me when the dress would be completed. I had a few questions during the process and Carrie was quick to respond every time. Two days ago, Carrie sent me the UPS tracking info - my dress was on it's way and it was ahead of schedule! Today I got home to find the dress had been delivered. I opened it and immediately could tell that it was a high quality dress. The material and beading and overall construction is top notch. The dress is EQUISITE! All of the details that make it a quality dress are apparent. There are no raw edges, the beading is secure and the appliques are applied perfectly. I put it on and seriously cried because I was so happy. My husband and daughter love it!
I really had to trust my gut instincts when I ordered a dress, sight unseen, from a shop in Pennsylvania (I live in Charlotte NC). Carrie is a seasoned professional who took the time needed to make sure she knew what I wanted. I highly recommend her! From the bottom of my momma of the bride heart, I send you many...
Read morePLEASE READ my prom was late may (2022) and i first went to the shop in early-mid march. i saw a dress i wanted mine based on. all i wanted the exact same thing but in a different style. i got my dress sketched up by one of the workers there (she’s the sweetest and remained that way throughout) since it was short notice to make a custom dress, it was uncharged but we paid and everything was done. however i don’t hear anything, any updates or progress info for all of april and may. despite me showing up to the store, calling, and emailing i don’t really hear anything about how the process was going except how they’ll “let me know when it’s here”. i email again (after showing up, getting no information, and being told i’d get a call that i never ended up getting) and was told that my dress had arrived although but my gloves were not finished which isn’t a big problem. (the gloves did not get finished until the day of my prom) my problem is when i see my dress, it’s a different color than expected (due to them deciding on a different fabric fabric) and even has different decor on it. None of this was communicated to me throughout these months. i know things happen but i wish i was communicated with and given the chance to have any input on any changes, especially with how much i reached out (and paid). If you are unable to do the dress at any point of the process, the person who paid for it should be atleast let aware of the change prior to pick up. When picking up the dress i brought this to the owner’s attention and i was given ~18% off ($200) after a bit of hesitation, hostility, and her completely avoiding my initial reason for complaint to make it sound like my fault. Before giving me my review she stated and i quote “i hope you don’t leave a bad review since i am giving you a...
Read moreIf I could give it zero I would. We went into the store on a Saturday afternoon. It was completely dead and no one in the store. There was a young girl and a woman working. My mom, sister, and I were all planning on buying a dress for a black tie event. We were not even acknowledged when we walked in. The young girl was on her phone and looked right at us and then looked back at her phone. I am all for people can be having a bad day so we let it go. Then we all had dresses to try and neither of the women asked if we needed help so we just went in. While I’m trying on dresses I found one I loved but it was worn and I asked the girl if a newer version of the dress was available she looked up from her phone and said we have what we have and returned to her phone. I also asked if she could get a bigger size in another dress for my sister and she said no she is too big. My mom and sister and I all found dresses we liked but we decided to go somewhere else because of how we were treated. We were going to spend over $1000 at the store. I found this place online and I was so excited to go in and support a local business. I could not have been more disappointed. I will never be visiting this...
