I ordered take out from Sweet Hut 3/1/2020. As I placed my order via phone I specifically said NO MUSHROOMS! I have a severe mushroom allergy! In the past this had always been upheld and all was good, Not on this night... When I get home and began eating my Happy Family menu item I notice 2 mushrooms in my entree. I immediately take a benedryl for my mushroom allergy is severe. I didn't eat the mushrooms I found, but the contamination can be extremely dangerous to me. I then call them and tell them of my issue. The man on the phone (I presume is the owner) tells me he knows there were no mushrooms in my dish, I'm starring directly at them in the container it was packed in I said. On top of all the that my steamed white rice was cold. I was a good customer of theirs. I patronized Sweet Hut for the last time! Food allergies need to be taken extremely seriously. Period!!! It may not be a serious matter to them, but it sure is to me. I strongly advise going elsewhere. P.S. keep the playpen and baby...
Read moreI have found my new go-to Chinese Restaurant. Sweet Hut is indeed a sweet place to eat. I have been disappointed in other Chinese restaurants in the area but Sweet Hut is spot on. My dining partner ordered the sweet and sour Chicken - the sauce is served on the side so she was able to get the sauce/chicken/rice ratio she desired. We ordered the Hot and Sour Soup - hers was nicely spiced; I asked for spicy and they delivered. I also ordered the Hunan Chicken - Spicy - very flavorful with a good amount of spice - overall very happy. Portions were large - we had lunch and leftovers for another lunch for around $35+ tip - pretty good for four meals total (Hot and Sour Soup X 2, Egg Roll X2, Entrees X2). Will definitely return. Read moreMy Husband placed a order through grubhub and we received the wrong order. My husband called them and they said well you will have to reorder the correct food then which is crazy when first off they were the ones that messed up the order and second the amount of fees we would have had to pay to have it ordered through grubhub again. We order from them multiple times each month and this is the 2nd time we've had and issue with the order being incorrect. I would have had no problem continuing to order from them because we liked the food but this time around the lack of customer service for their mess up is ridiculous.
