All About Kids Furniture — Local services in North Strabane Township

My wife and I started looking for nursery furniture as soon as we knew we were expecting. We looked everywhere for furniture that we would be interested in buying, but Google searches flooded us with the same big retail chains selling all the same furniture (mostly Delta Children or Pottery Barn). When we searched specifically for Abby furniture stores, the only thing we came up with that wasn’t part of a department in a larger store was All About Kids Furniture.

When we browsed the site, a nice introduction told us about the owners’ several years of experience and their mission as experts in child furniture. They only sell furniture that is free from harmful chemical binders and paints.

We had to make a long drive to the store, since we live in a different county, but when we pulled in, right away I knew we had come to the right place. The store was a small boutique, with 3 rooms on the main level, and 4 above. In addition to furniture pieces themselves, the store also featured artistic night lights, stuffed animals, baby blankets, well decor, and other items you might want to include in your nursery.

Several of the furniture displays featured 6 inch square samples of other colors they were offered in, and full sheet furniture set cards were available that you could take with you to review and compare to other furniture pieces as you go. There was a wide range of styles and sets, and we found that there really was the widest possible range of style and design to fit anyone’s price range.

To my knowledge, all of the dressers had soft close drawers and the option to include the changing top conversion kit that includes a Moonlight changing top (more on that in a minute).

Additionally, all the cribs offer conversion kits to change them to a toddler bed, day bed, and full bed with the purchase of the conversion kits. The store also sells 3 Moonlight mattresses, and though I don’t remember which ones they specifically were, I think they were the Starlight line: Shimmer, Supreme, and Sparkle (from $ low to high) the mattresses are made of medical grade materials and are designed to be both safe and durable (and waterproof).

There was also a wide range of glider rockers available, some with ottomans, some without, and some that were also recliners. Several of the recliner styles also electric buttons to put up and down the footrest, and a USB-B plug for any usb power device or charging cable you may want to plug in when you are in the chair.

The customer service here was excellent, and the owners were helpful, kind, and transparent throughout the entire process! We ended up purchasing our crib, crib conversion, dresser, changing top conversion, glider rocker, and few stuffed animals (that were too cute to pass up!) same day! If anyone ever asks us where they should shop for furniture, we would tell them to make the drive down to All About Kids Furniture if they want to best products with the best...

My wife and I could not be happier with our nursery furniture from All about Kids Furniture. We are expecting our first child so this was an entirely new process for us and All about kids could not have made it any easier for us! The furniture is EXTREMELY high quality, which is not something you will find at most big chain department stores. We stopped here after looking at macy’s and the quality difference was night and day. You can immediately tell with the quality of the materials and construction of the furniture that it will be extremely durable and will last for MANY MANY years. We purchased a crib, which converts into a toddler bed, a day bed, and a twin bed with additional conversion kits that we purchased, so it will grow with our son. We also purchased a dresser, with a removable changing pad top, a chifforobe, and a nightstand all from the same collection, as well as a crib mattress. This bedroom suit will be able to grow with our son throughout his life which makes it worth every penny! The owners were very polite, knowledgeable, and transparent and helped us through the entire process. The best part is that all the furniture is delivered PRE ASSEMBLED. So you don’t even have to worry about assembling it yourself! The owner and his coworker delivered it to our home and they were extremely polite and very conscientious and respectful of our home and very careful not to damage anything while bringing everything in and setting it up exactly where we wanted it. I could not recommend them more and I tell anyone in the area that is expecting a child this is the only store to go to for their child’s furniture. We recently purchased a crib and dresser for our new granddaughter. The owner was our salesman. At the time of our purchase he was as nice as can be. The owner could not reach my daughter regarding the timing of delivery, so when I called him he appeared angry with my daughter for not answering. Several times he mentioned my daughter not answering the phone when he called (she had the baby two weeks early, so she was a little busy, which is why she had me call). When the truck pulled up for delivery, they parked right in front of our neighbors driveway, blocking them from getting in and out. I politely asked him to move the truck and he replied, “We always park in front of neighbors driveways”. The entire time he was here he was rude and disrespectful. Upon leaving he walked right past me and out the door, saying nothing and leaving. My granddaughters father was doing yard work and they asked him to sign for everything knowing I am the one who paid for everything.
