Where do I start. First is very poor service. I was seated right away but then after I had looked at the menu for more than 10 minutes while the server was gone he finally returned for my order and I asked him 2 simple questions 1) Are there any specials and 2) What are you known for and recommend? His response was to say we are known for many things I'll let you look longer and walked away. Once he finally returned again I ordered the Guatalahara special which had a selection of several different things along with a side of chorizo. First their chorizo was nasty and tasted burnt and I spit it out into napkin. Next the taquito was so hard and overcooked that I couldn't eat and the mystery meat in it was extremely dry and almost charred completely black. The chicken was dry. The beef was well seasoned but was overcooked as well. That must be there theme here... To cook everything way to long and serve mostly dry, improperly seasoned items. Oh and did I mention that after bringing me my food I needed a refill but my server never bothered to return and after about 15min of trying to eat what they served me the other server finally came and asked if I wanted a refill which by that time I could have drank down 3 cups to try and wash the dry overcooked, improperly seasoned slop that they served me down. I was really wanting to love this place but sadly am leaving with a bad taste...
Read moreWe have been visiting El Paso for a few years. Regularly and off and on. The seating is super quick. The decor is authentic. The chips and salsa are quick to the table and the salsa is beyond description, mainly because it's hand made so it varies slightly by who made it that day. Some days it's spicier, some it's more cilantro forward. It's always ever so slightly different. The drink orders come quickly and the tequila sunrise is phenomenal. Get the larger glass! You won't regret it! Elliot and I have tried an extensive list of their dishes. I always gravitate back to either the Special Texas or the chicken chimichangas. Everything I've tried has been delicious, those 2 are my taco Tuesday faves. Elliot is partial to the Chile relenos. For superior service, food and atmosphere, it's a win all around. And Manuel....I can't even say enough about him. Tonight i felt like we had the best seat in the house. Right next ti the kitchen. Almost like a...
Read moreOrdered at 5:41pm today. Granted it is Cinco de Mayo, so I expected the order to take a while. They said it would be available at 6:50pm. It is now 7:50 pm, and our DoorDash driver is still waiting outside for the order.
According to him, there are 50+ bags of food on the tables with NO names on them, so the El Paso people are bringing in one person at a time to try to match the food to the orders. There is a line of 30 people waiting outside.
This is a ridiculous way to operate. Why wouldn't the names/receipts for the orders be with the bags of food?
New estimate is not until 8:30 to get our food. If we're lucky.
There is no way the food will be hot when we get it now. Such a horrible way to operate. Stay away.
Update: Got the food at 8:51 pm. More than 3 hours...
