Went here for a while for wash and braid down once a mo th to grow my hair out. I'd get 6-7 cornrows straight to the back. Simple. Last 2 times I went (it was a while ago) I got the same service. My braid down was sloppy as all get out. The braids were not neat and what could've easily been two braids, a big section of my hair was sloppily braided into one larger braid bigger than the rest. The first time, I let it go and took it as a bad day we all have those. The second time was just lazy and sloppy I may not have been getting a big money style like a sew in or a silk press but I was still a paying client. I politely called the owner and told her that I wasn't satisfied with the work and ask her could you please redo this because even though it is a breakdown I still like my hair to look neat just because nobody's going to see it does it mean that I want my hair to be sloppy I still pay for neatness. Needless to say, the owner seem nice enough at the moment to except my request and when I sewed up another person re-braided my hair and I was fine with that I gave her a partial payment for the sloppy service and I paid for payment for the redo. I was even nice enough to forgive and call back a month later to book an appointment hopefully that was all behind her… Come to find out I guess she was too sensitive and did not like to be called out on her lazy sloppy work and she blocked me 😂. Upon first walking in I felt the energy in the shop was a little off. I asked for Tahrae and the girl acted like she didn't even want to tell me where she was. But no problem idc. I started talking to Tahrae and her energy seemed a bit off too but she was still very professional and polite. I hadn't been here since 2021 so I'm like maybe it's just different. But noooo I was completely right, the other stylist started talking about Tahrae while I was sitting right there when she stepped to the back. It made me very uncomfortable and I even considered leaving. But Tahrae came back and pretty much made light of the situation and ignored them. I truly applaud her for her perfessionalism, the environment was completely uncomfortable and catty but she maintained her composure and delivered truly fenominal service. And she takes AMAZING care of her clients hair and is so gentle. She truly prioritizes haircare and guest experience. I always make sure I tip her. 4 stars...

Went to this salon after finding a hair braider Brittany. I should have known better than to book with her again. She changes appointments at last minute knowing I'm driving from Illinois. This last time she no showed at 9am with 100 excuses, rescheduled for 4pm same day canceled at 4 pm.
