The store is so small its a bit suffocating. The way they handle customers is basically them trying to multitask and take care of everyone simultaneously which creates a lack of attention to orders. The last time I ordered from them I made sure I specified everything I wanted to the employee taking my order but he was also taking care of customers that walked in after me. He let me review the slip he wrote which was correct except for the fact that i did not want any of the design to be done with fondant as it costs more and isnt very edible. He said he would change it. When I got home I tried to call the store to make sure my order was corrected..no answer! Left a message for a callback and also sent an email verifying what I actually wanted. Had to call after 2 days because I did not get a response & the date was approaching. She had already begun making the cake..& when she found out i didn't want the fondant, she got an attitude because she already had cut out the shapes for it--not my fault your employee didn't do their job and that my call and email was not followed up on! & when I received my order, it was subpar. You could tell she took her irritation out on the quality of the work. She did a sloppy and quick job of the details that I had said i didn't want in fondant. Not the first time shes done something like that after getting upset with a request from a customer. My friend had a similar experience with her. Another time prior to that, i had ordered a cake & multiple other things..I spent over 2 hours in the store getting that order taken because again they kept switching between customers and i had to keep waiting to be helped because everytime i had a question theyd say hold on and help the next customer just to come back to me with a vague answer that really didn't answer my question so id have to ask the question again in a different way & repeat the cycle all over again. Very frustrating. I would recommend modernizing your site more. Add more information on the items offered, their sizes,& prices..maybe even add an online request form where the customer can choose the details then get contacted to...
   Read moreThis place makes good cakes (in the past I canât speak for now). I say that because they used to have good customer Service too. Iâm not sure if the quality of their product has changed as well. I had to send 2 emails and call several times to place an order. I was ordering the exact cake that I bought last year. So as the person who was taking my order was hanging up I thought I heard her say $80 for the cake. I said to myself that canât be right I bought the same cake last year and it was between $40 and $50. I wanted a 12 inch round banana cake pastel yellow. So I called back a different person answers and was extremely rude. Does not know how to talk to customers on the phone is apparently easily frustrated because mid sentence she asks the person who originally took my order to take the phone and loudly says oh my god this lady, take the phone. As if something so extreme happened during our conversation that she just couldnât handle it. Absolutely unacceptable for one.    Read moreFirst, this place is cash only. Not a very easy shopping experience for the year 2021. I went to the website and itâs an Easter order list from 2017 that states when to have your orders in by and next to that it says cash only. That could be interpreted as orders/holiday orders are only cash only.
Second, they have pound cake Easter pound cake eggs listed on their Easter menu, which is what I came for; some for my husbands and niece and nephewâs Easter baskets. After going in and being told they only accept cash for any order, I trekked to the gas station to use an arm because they do not provide an arm in their store.
After arriving back to their shop to order the egg shaped pound cakes, I was told they do not have any. They donât stock them. They only make them for orders. I was told MAYBE they would have some left over tomorrow if I stopped by.
Iâm not quite sure who has time to keep stopping by to see if they have a dessert, but as a mom, I sure donât. I will not be stopping in this shop again. A bit too much hassle for zero result. There are many, many, many bakeries in town and in nearby towns with longer hours and who accept credit card payments and who keep their bakery...
