I have to express my concerns in regards to our recent stay at your property in Hammond , Indiana. I booked two rooms for a weekend stay Friday to Sunday . One room was booked threw Priceline and the other directly threw the Hilton Honors website . We were stuck in traffic so I called the location to informed them were coming and not to cancel our rooms even though both were paid for in full .One was booked under my husband name a king room and the second room was a double bed room for my elderly grandparents under my name . So we arrive and the young lady tells me the room order threw Priceline line needs to be paid , I am like are you sure because i am tired i just give her a credit card .Mind you my stay is close to 500.00 for the weekend, she provides me keys to both rooms , we go to the elevator and was told the button elevator was broke and we need to insert a pen to get it to work !!!I was like ok this may be dangerous but ok!!!We get to the first room and the door is open meaning you didn't have to use the key card to enter and would not lock. So we go to enter the other room that we were given keys for there is someone (a group of minor kids) occupying the room !!!So i go downstairs and tell the young lady about the concerns .She this reassigns us new rooms but she puts us in the room next to the kids first i was ok with that until we opened the door and it was a double bed so again i go back and ask her why she tells me they have no rooms available and this all she has. Ok so no sleep kids running up and down the halls all night!!Just crazy !!That is not all the luggage cart wheels keep coming off a one had a pipe that was not attached to cart and i was so scared my grandparents would get struck by it moving her luggage !!The water pressure was non exist in both rooms !!AC didn't work in the room my grandparents were in !!!This was a nightmare !!!Especially spending 1000.00 for two rooms for 2 nights !!!Not the Hilton way!!Rating is wrong on this property this should be a 2 star !!! Then to wake up today two more charges on my credit card this is...
Read moreArrived at this hotel after a 4 hr drive to a room with torn curtains and a poorly cleaned bathroom (pictures included). The bathtub drain was clogged so the water just stayed in the tub after we cleaned it. The bathroom sink drain removed water at a glacial pace. The bedside outlets didn't work. After complaining, we were given a suite. The suite had a couch covered in stains, a torn couch pillow, and the wall was covered in stains. The bathtub wasn't as filthy as the first room but there were brown stains in the tub. I was so disgusted, I never walked barefoot in the hotel room and I didn't feel comfortable showering unless I had shower shoes on. When we were given a new room key, we were told that the old keys (from the room with the clogged tub drain and ripped curtains) wouldn't work anymore. After returning from a long day, we arrived back at the hotel and the key didn't work. They didn't believe my aunt when she said it was her room (her sister booked the room). I understand following protocol, but at this point in our stay, it was established that we were guests because of the room exchange before. For breakfast, the first morning we stayed there, the apple juice, orange juice and waffle mix stations were out of order. The next morning, they were up and running. I didn't bother swimming because I was so disgusted by the poor upkeep of the rooms, I didn't trust the cleanliness of the pool. The front desk staff reduced the price of our stay and offered us a $30 dollar voucher for the gift shop and another voucher for not believing us when we said our new room key didn't work.
This is by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I plan to never book a room at this location again...and I'm hesitant to book at Hampton Inn and Suites...
Read moreI love the Hilton brand, stay at Hiltons all the time and this is the 1st negative review of a Hilton. This hotel is as bad or worse than so many of the reviews indicate. Checkin agent was very nice and friendly, that is the only positive I can say about my stay. I get to my room and immediately notice stains on the couch in my room. Look at the picture and it is very obvious what type of stain this is... I reported it to the front desk and am told management would be notified. Did not even offer to switch me to another room. So I think that the next morning they will remove the furniture and or management will call me, appologize offer me a different room. Neither happened. Now about the breakfast....Like so may other reviews said, no waffles during my stay. I asked the employee that works the breakfast about waffles and she snapped back that the machine was broken.... Get there for breakfast early because once items run out, good luck. There are two pots of coffee (and one decaf). Both regular coffes were competely empty. When I told the emploee, she snaps back GIVE ME A MINUTE PLEASE. 15 Minutes later I was finally able to serve myself a coffee. The trash can in the breakfast room was completely overflowing both mornings I went there. The 3rd morning. I did not even have breakfast in the hotel after my experience the previous mornings. Lastly, I stayed 2 nights, 3 days, houskeeping did not clean the room once. Followup 5/15 After I left the review, they left a public response asking that I reach out to them via a link and a phone. I did both and never heard back...
