I Absolutely Love Gigi’s — just on this occasion bought a lovely gift of jewelry, a necklace, and a gift from self-to-self ( oh I confess! ) of a pink ‘quilted’ coat ( much more chic of one than the hundreds of others I have seen to-date). Gigi’s is by far my Go-to place for special occasions, large order small scale, benefits or close family friend interviews— gifts— or the job interview if I want to dress-to-impress. The ‘Whys’ are Simple: First, I literally ‘CanNOT go wrong’ at Gigi’s because Everything in the store is in Good Taste—the Work is done for me!— and their team ( (Gigi; then, in alpha order, Christina, Constance, Danielle, Magdalena and Michelle) are those whose opinions I can and do trust. Conservative; Festive for a given holiday; a little harder-to-pull-off … whatever it is I am looking for, what I can Count on is that the items at Gigi’s — from apparel to jewelry to other accessories— are carefully selected, Refined and turn heads for the Right/ Correct reasons. ‘Lazy Shopper’ that I am!— I confess— I have received only compliments on anything I have purchased from Gigi’s. ie Without having to go through racks and racks at a department store for something that often winds up mediocre at best. ( Only time I ‘suddenly’ am revived is Shoe- Shopping… Then I am going to another galaxy, hiding on a NASA spacecraft — if that is what it takes— to get my Shoes. If I had any sense other than for ballet-specific shoes, I’d have to hire Gigi’s staff to accompany me! ) Gigi’s products, store size and her staff make my shopping Worry- free; walk out with no concerns that what I purchased will be ‘way off the mark’ for the needed occasion I am attending or person I am buying for. Second, I can trust their staff— I Ask for opinions and want them from THEIR staff; after all, the best-looking (dress, etc.) is not necessarily the best ‘for me/ for ‘one.’ I have worked for employers — ( and left on my accord) who instruct their staff to deliberately lead a customer to x-highest price item— with No or very little regard for the Customer’s needs or how the particular item will work for her or him. Utterly inappropriate and Not the kind of customer service I particularly want to receive ( nor ever give, that is for sure!) Again anything I have worn from Gigi’s or gifted has received a compliment … Last but not least, items are seasonal, and chic and ‘in vogue’ but Never a ‘fad’ item … that lacks class… the ‘WHAT on our green- brown- increasingly not-so-green EARTH were were thinking?!’ items that mark a certain generational trend. I am in the classical ballet world where tutus that are just — ethereal, too-pretty to touch—abound, reserved only for the ballerinas (much!) more accomplished than I. Gigi’s is the real-world equivalent of that quality and grace in its offerings. Everything one purchases at Gigi’s, dresses and suits especially, will leave the wearer exuding Class, Grace and nonpareil Exquisiteness in the overall selection. Class, Grace and Refinement NEVER go out of style, and in the 30+ years my family (5 women!), friends and colleagues etc have shopped here— it has always been the right choice! Thank you...

I.e. I LOVE Gigi's. I am back in my young girl, Make-a-Beeline-for -Anything-that-Sparkles mode in her store, and the sparkle is everywhere--
yet her gowns and clothing are refined, elegant and classically chic. There are No items in her store that speak tawdry or in poor taste--
I am a ballerina, (lesser of a gymnast and figure skater), and so well- exposed to beautiful, exquisite costumes and designs in the world of classical ballet.
But Gigi's never fails to meet my needs for weddings, dances, other formal events, and some of my day-to-day-work attire (retail and tutoring).
Her prices are reasonable; the store is NOT huge nor overwhelming but offers just-the-right-range of inventory; and one is sure to find something for the occasion.
Moreover- I trust her small staff to give recommendations I actually value. Gigi, (then Alphabetically) Christine, Constance, Danielle, Magdalena and Michelle-- are the type one would want as friends. I realize they are selling a product-- sure, its a business--but they give Honest, down-to-earth advice on fit, style and best options withOUT any pushiness or manipulating a customer into a sale. . .
As a customer, I feel there is integrity in my interactions with them; they want me and their customers to leave looking and feeling their best -- in attire formal but that also reflects the individual's personality and allows them to Enjoy the event.
'No'-- I may not purchase my running-around tiresome errands- or going-to-the-gym attire from Gigi's- but Yes absolutely rely on this boutique for events and some day-to-day work items of Quality, items that have lasted me for years.

Today, she refused to refund the price paid for a Prom dress. 12 days ago my wife and daughter went to Gigi's Closette. They found a dress my daughter liked but the store did not have the size. It ordered the correct size from the wholesaler and had my wife pay the full purchase price. A week later my daughter tried on a similar dress a friend had and she liked it more. My wife called Gigi's that day and cancelled the order. I personally confirmed today with Gigi that she was able to cancel the order with the wholesaler at no cost to her. However, Gigi still refuses to refund the purchase price. I explained to her that this wasn't fair since Gigi's was never charged anything and it was able to cancel the order completely. Gigi did not care at all, she just said "this has been our policy for 40 years." I would think that in this situation, where the order was able to be completely cancelled from the wholesaler that Gigi would do better than this. The other negative review her explains how Gigi's would not hold a dress for a day and tried to get the individual to pay the full purchase price immediately - now we all know why, once Gigi's gets your money, they will never give it back. That's bad...
