Penzeys Spices — Local services in Norwalk

There may be cheaper options out there, but you'll used more and still never get the flavor pop that you get with Penzey's spices .. They not only have what you're looking for, but often have multiple varieties of it (location, flavor, style) .. I never liked cinnamon until I went to Penzey's and was able to smell multiple varieties from different areas of the world .. and that's not even counting the fact that every spice comes in every practical style for use .. powdered, ground, chopped dried, whole .. whatever you need or however you prefer to make use of the spice, they have it available for you. If you're lucky enough to be able to stop by, check out their section of spice blends .. yes, they have the traditional, but they also make many of their own blends based on variations of the normal, favorite flavors of the Family and their friends and employees, as well as regional seasonings based on tastes and flavors that will bring you right back to "Sunny Paris"; that Steak you had while traveling in Canada; the Curry you had in India .. I saw 4 different varieties of 'basic' curry today, before I stopped looking lol .. and more. As most herbs and spices add to the flavor of food through their smell, they have a container of each spice right next to each spice being offered .. (remember I said I got to smell different varieties of Cinnamon?) .. so I would suggest you stop by if at all possible .. it's well worth the trip. **In case you think I forgot .. their customer service is excellent .. the staff has always been extremely helpful and...

I’ve been to many different Penzeys stores and this is the only one that restricts what and how much the customer can buy. For several reasons not worth going into I can’t buy online very easily so Penzeys has always been a great walk-in and buy in bulk store. Other Penzeys I could walk in and buy the entire stock of cinnamon or sesame seeds and the employees would be thrilled for the sale. This one chides the customer and restricts what and how much one can buy to two small jars at a time. Because they normally discount bulk purchases this makes shopping here astronomically more expensive than even other Penzeys franchises.

Chuck made this first time visit of mine amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the products and even how to use them. Penzeys is good if u just need a lil bit of something for a recipe. So u don’t have to buy the big “one size” they carry in the grocery store. This store doesn’t deal with a middle man ie:supermarkets, so the herbs and spices are fresher. The gift box options they have are awesome for gift giving. I think they will even mail it for you. Everyone is getting seasonings for Christmas this year. Lol.
