The Commons is alright...But my group decided to visit the 36 Towm Pub...I agreed because the last time I had a drink in this plaza the pub was called Pic a Deli and it was great... So getting back to the Review of 36 Town... My first and last visit there.... First I got growled at by the woman behind the bar for trying to make room to sit at the bar...there was about 16 - 18 bar stools and 5 people spread out, taking up as much space as possible...I was with a girl that I wanted to have another date with and a male friend Who I owed a lunch from a bet....so I attempted to move a bar stool to free up the cluster box that we walked into...I was told sternly by the female bartender that I was not allowed to do this under any circumstance.....I almost called it off at that point but I was thirsty and my friend said that he could work with the tight space on the corner of the bar...so I quickly decided on a Mich Ultra bottle...My friend ordered a Bud light draft and upon tasting it immediately complained of a foul taste...the bartender gave him a Bud light bottle replacement and another dosage of attitude to go with it....my female friend ordered some kind of mixed drink that she was happy with.... So upon reading the menu my girl and I decided to have a Reuben sandwich platter. And my male friend who can eat by the way. Was running back to the chalkboard to see what the special was on the way in. And comparing it to the price in the menu. The bartender returned and ask if you're ready to order. I said almost and she said take your time and disappeared. We finished our drinks. And had to look for her to pay for the drinks and decided to go somewhere else to eat. As the bartender woman had a confused look on her face as to like why we would change our minds about eating there... If you like going to a pub and sitting at a table and being waited on. This place might be for you. But when I go to a pub I like to sit at the bar and order something to eat after a couple of beers. This place will not see me or anyone in my group again. I would rather go to McDonald's. At least it wouldn't cost a fortune. At McDonald's I've never had anybody give me the attitude that we experienced at this place ..good luck.. to the owner of 36 town. The bartender woman. And anyone else who Ventures into there looking to...
Read moreEver since they moved every aisle around I have not been able to find anything! They then got rid of a lot of stuff to make bigger aisles, and cut it allot of stuff. For instance they have 2 types of garbage bags and that's it. After making the aisles bigger and cutting it a lot of product, there are still empty shelves everywhere. I know there are shortages with the pandemic but then don't advertise sales for items that you don't have! To end the misery I went to the self checkout section and was about 10th in line because I think there were 4 registers out of commission. Stop & Shop used to be my favorite store ever and now I dread if I even have to go there. Oh yeah and at the end the register spits out all these coupons that after I spent $150, they gave me coupons to come back and spend more to get a couple bucks off! I hate it when they do that. So I dump all my money in there then you give me coupons that are going to expire in 2 weeks telling me that if I come back and spend a buttload of more you'll give me $2 off???? It's ridiculous! They shouldn't even bother wasting the paper. I'm very disgusted with...
Read moreIt used to be an enclosed mall. Now it's a strip of a few stores and a walk-in clinic for the local hospital. There's no real draw here - you either need something here or you drive on by. That said, the produce department at Stop and Shop is the best in town, the People's United branch has friendly employees, there isn't another Jersey Mike's nearby, and because of the lack of big draw stores, the rest of the stores in the plaza are easy to get in and out of when you need something there. Perhaps not being big and flashy...
