Stop & Shop — Local services in Norwich

I went to the pharmacy, always friendly and knowledgeable and some gals even recognize you with a mask. Of course, I grabbed some groceries too, no problem except people going down the wrong aisles, not caring about it and also not social distancing even a bit. I did suggest to the customer service desk that they use their red and green colors to distinguish them more clearly...run green dots for the go and red for stop at the ends of each aisle and alley way. Add arrows if needed. The one thing I feel caused more problems with cross contamination is only being able to enter and exit at door by the desk. More people clustered in one location is a covid disaster. Whoever thought this was a good idea, was wrong. Also, if they were going to do only one door, it should be the one by the pharmacy since many people need their medications and don't want to be exposed by walking thru the length of the store and back where everyone is congregating to check out with families, etc., more chances of catching something. Plus it's difficult for many ailing customers to walk that distance and back exposing themselves and other family members in the end. Please reconsider this and open both doors again, you're only causing harm to your customers and their families...

Everytime I go to this supermarket the meat is not fresh. The plastic on the products is moist and you can see from the outside of meat package. Their technique is to not put the fresh meat out until customers buy the bad meat. Tonight I bought a pack of stop& shop hamburgers, eight in the pack, however, I tried to get the apparent fresh pack but when I arrived home the two on top was just alright but the bottom ones smelled bad and discolored. Please send the meat manager to a place for air heads before he destroy somebody with the meat products he try to preserve. I'm sure that people get sick after eating their rotten meats. The residents may be immune to the terrible rotten meat. Terminate the manager or whoever run that department. Don't understand? Go see and eat for yourself. It's amazes me how they get a single good review lately. I guess their employees are loyal by giving reviews in their favor. But they are the worst stop& shop out of all the ones I been to in CT. Go see and eat the meat....

I have always been a frequent shopper at Stop and Shop lately I’ve been going to the Norwichtown Ct one because I shop for a client of mine who can’t get to the store by himself . He especially loves Lindys Italian Ice. So a few days ago I was in the store and was faced with a real dilemma No Lindys Italian Ice 😱😱 So I asked the young man who was stocking the freezer if he could please help me I explained the situation and he replied I saw some in the back I’ll look 👀 then he came back with a variety for me to choose from I asked him his name it’s Jesse so I thanked him and left flash forward to the next day same situation Jesse to the rescue once again!!!! He is the kindest young man I have seen in awhile very dedicated to his job so please if his manager is reading this please take a minute to thank him for a job very well done He deserves a big pat on the back Thanks Jesse and continue to do an excellent job and you will go far in the future 😇 hope to see...
