Date of Experience: Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015 (630p - 730p) I was a loyal Staples customer for many years. I never did think that things could get worse. I went to Staples the evening of 2/3/15 hoping to get copies done of my bills. the simplest of tasks. I asked the associate to help me make copies as I was oblivious to this. He told me that he was late for his lunch break and that I should pretty much figure it out on my own. He told me, "There are many buttons and the printer will do what I want it to do. No help. I needed to do double sided copies and after trying on my own, I made one copy that cut the page. i requested assistance form the supervisor who was reluctant to help me. After I told her what I wanted to do she told me it was impossible. I smirked and wondered if she actually knew what she was talking about. after arguing with her for a short moment i showed her proof that it was not impossible because I just did it. She recanted her statement and told me that only the 'newer' copier could do this. i wish she had told me this before we began. I wasted money on something that was not completed. Out of frustration I left Staples unsatisfied and went down the street to Fedex/Kinkos and worked with a wonderful lady named Madeline and she made my double sided copies for me in less than five minutes and made me feel important. Read moreThey have a postal service there and they lost my mail on more than one occasion. I spoke to Andrew today who said he manages the place after they lost my mail again and we're trying to charge me extra fees on the mail that they lost.... he was extremely rude. They were trying to charge me extra fees to store the mail they lost and he said it was not his responsibility to reverse the charges and for me to call I postal1 and I said you are the one that handled the mail, caused the charges and lost it. I requested his supervisor's name and he refused to give it to me and stated that that's not the way things work. Clearly this individual does not understand customer service and is completely incompetent and negligent in his responsibilities. Then when I told him he was being incompetent he said that was coming from my side and actually insulted me with an ad hominem attack when I have absolutely nothing to do with his failure in the mail transaction. So he baselessly insults and harasses a customer because he is unable to handle his own responsibilities or criticism. Sickening...
Read moreThe employee Krithi was very rude and had a horrible attitude. I hope she’s not a manager because that would be even worse for the store. She refused to take an Amazon return even after another employee had already scanned my return barcode and was about to place the sticker on my return box. She just simply said she will not take the box and that I would have to take it to UPS for return even though my Amazon return code was for Staples. I’ve done several Amazon returns at this location without any problems until I encountered this unpleasant employee. Reading previous reviews tells me employees at this location do not seem to like taking in Amazon returns - maybe they need better training or understanding that it’s literally part of their job as Staples employees.
