My body completely changed! I started taking classes from Belen while suffering from a sever lumbar spine injury. The doctors suggested surgery. I had already been months in physical therapy with no improvement. I had lost probably 50% of my muscle mass. As a certified personal trainer, former professional athlete, massage therapist and yoga instructor, I thought I had a good understanding of how the body works. That is until I took private lessons with Belen! My improper movement patterns had caused my injury and were now contributing to my non-existant recovery. After just one session with Belen I had pain relief. Up until that point I had spent a year with little to no exercise because even something as gentle as yoga or swimming caused re-injury to my spine. But I was able to continue weekly sessions with Belen without any issue. After less than two months I returned to surfing again regularly.
