Hands down, best shrimp truck on the island…and I’ve tried almost all of them. Biggest portions, lowest prices. I knew the owner when I lived here over ten years ago. We always came up to North Shore to surf, spear fish or snorkel on our days off and she was always kind and loved catching up or just talking. It’s been years since I’ve had the chance to visit and of course, it was my first stop for some BOMB garlic shrimp! Thank God it’s still exactly the SAME as I remembered! I hate when you fall in love with a restaurant or specific dish and the quality just deteriorates over time. NOT THE CASE HERE 🤩. Of course prices have gone up across the board everywhere and Hawaii is always more expensive in general but still…lower than the other shrimp trucks on North Shore by a few dollars per plate. What’s funny is I haven’t seen her in almost a decade…and she recognized me instantly! Hahaha! Talk about customer service and remembering your customers! Apparently now her daughter’s the one mostly running the truck and she just stops in occasionally. She still looks EXACTLY the same (She’s Asian 😎) with the same large, beautiful smile 😍. I personally recommend the combo plate. Garlic shrimp with ribs or steak. Can’t go wrong with either. And if you don’t like the shell on your shrimp you can order it peeled but honestly why?
