After purchasing I looked at the desktop which I really liked but since I purchased the MacBook Pro I figured the desktop was for another time. I thought I'd stop in because I just needed a desktop mac without the new price-tag for doing web-browsing and simple work-related tasks. I was able to find the solution to my problem at Safari Tech. It's a relief to have some kind of warranty as buying second-hand electronics from strangers is hit or miss (eg FB Marketplace).
