My mother purchased a necklace for me on December 22 2021. The receipt she was given was for earrings- but she was told that is fine. She gave me this necklace for my birthday Feb 5, 2022. I wore it for the first time the week of Feb 22. Within 2 wears, the chain snapped in half and the pendant fell into my shirt. I heard the break but did not immediately realize what it was. Unfortunately because of this, I did not have the actual chain. We ended up sick in our household so we were not able to make it to Krekelers until today. We were informed the best they can offer is for us to purchase a new chain. This was a $300 necklace that my mother was so excited to give me... The quality was extremely poor- but the fact that a refund wasn't immediately offered or equal trade or a replacement chain, is absurd. Mark contacted my mother after the in store visit and after he spoke with her on the phone and said after speaking to his wife, she said they CAN offer a replacement chain. I had already told my mom I am not interested in any jewelry from them and that I personally will refund her money since I know she worked so hard for this- so she asked Mark-"Can she just get a refund?" He said absolutely not. He said its too late for that. It has been exactly 3 months since this item was purchased- and exactly 1 month since the first time wearing it. I understand he doesn't know when we wore this necklace but even worse case- 3 months on jewelry purchases that is supposed to be quality is not a long time. I was shocked by the great reviews when I looked this up so I made a social media post and several others had complaints as well. I do not leave bad reviews. I am a positive person who gives everyone second chances and I always look for the good-but I will not recommend this place to anyone and I feel awful for my mom who wanted to give me a special gift that I could cherish forever. :(

We started with Krekeler first as my family has had nothing but great experiences with them over the years. We received amazing service every visit to the store. When picking out wedding bands we never once felt any pressure or like we were being "sold" to. We ordered and returned several before finding what we were happy with and the staff never made it seem like a hassle.
