I was excited to try Tacos for Life because of their charitable mission. They have a nice variety of tacos and their meal deals are a nice value.
Their tacos are large and very filling. I got the chicken fajita and the grilled chicken tacos and they were both good. However, the puffy tortilla shell that came with the grilled chicken taco was delightful. I will definitely be back for that one! In future the one taco with chips and dip would be plenty for me. I wasn’t overly impressed with the queso - I’ll try the salsa or guacamole next time.
The service was excellent. Every employee we interacted with went out of their way to make the experience a good one. The dining room was very clean and they immediately attended to dirty tables once people left.
The outdoor patio is large and was a great environment to dine al fresco. Plus, it’s dog friendly!
From a wheelchair accessibility perspective, the dining room was very open and it would be easy to navigate in a wheelchair and sit at any of the tables with your chair.
From a sustainability perspective, they did have real silverware, reusable trays, large bottles of salsa instead of packets and real salt shakers.
Also to note, they did have a vegetarian option; which I plan to try...
Read moreSomeone invited us to go eat here so we did. The prices are very unclear on the menu when it comes to making it a meal. I asked the gentleman at the counter what it would be and he said about fifteen dollars. For some reason my two tacos and a drink rang up for twenty.
I will say the guy at the register was very nice. And they brought the food out very quickly. My daughter got the queso rice and I got the creamed corn. As far as the rice it was literally just a cup of white rice with a half tablespoon of cheese on top and some cilantro. My "creamed" corn. Was most definitely just canned corn with a little bit of cheese sprinkled on top. And of course the signature cilantro.
I will say everybody got different tacos and the tacos while tasty were very white. The entire restaurant was as if a white kindergarten sunday school teacher was like i'm gonna open up a mexican restaurant.
And everything matched that. The sides were gross, the tacos were decent and the drinks were fine. The 35 Dollar bill was a joke.. I mean seriously.. My friend paid for himself and in total we spent almost sixty dollars. Not worth it. But if you haven't eaten all day and just need to eat something I guess it works. But it was too...
Read moreTacos 4 Life exceeded my expectations! Comfortable & clean atmosphere, great inside & outside seating, really interesting & varied menu items, welcoming & friendly staff- and most importantly, the food is fresh and DELICIOUS! I had the Southwest Bowl with Mahi-Mahi, and opted for 1/2 rice, 1/2 lettuce (nice to have that option). Very large portion with plenty of dressing- I only used one of the two dressing containers provided, because the salad ingredients themselves were so flavorful and delicious. I was 100% satisfied with my experience and the food. And the prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality of the food, not to mention the fact that you're actually buying TWO meals- one for yourself, and one for a person in need. Eating out, I usually have a smidge of guilt because of the cost and it's always cheaper to eat at home... this is the 1st time I've ever actually felt great about it because it's also for a good cause! I left feeling full, healthy and fulfilled in having helped (in my little bit) feed others in need. Tacos 4 Life, thank you for making a difference in the war against...
