Went there at noon with a friend. When we first came in we waited at the front for at least 5 minutes debating on if they were open since there was no one is sight. We saw someone in the kitchen and they looked at us and didn’t say a word. After we almost walked out the door a lady came out of the bathroom and told us to sit. So we did and thought about leaving since it was awkward, but decided to help out a small business. When we sat down the lady asked us what we wanted to drink and we started off with waters. She seemed displeased and grabbed our waters. As she was coming back she said to the chef, “I am not sitting here after we close for them.” My friend said “I’m sorry?” And the lady claimed she wasn’t talking about us, that she was talking about a couple walking from the parking lot. She asked if we were ready to order and we weren’t and she went and sat over at a table where the old couple sat down in a booth. They talked and were laughing so it felt like she was talking about us. We debated on leaving but decided just to get some toast instead of waisting a table for them. When she came to get our order, she leaned on the table to write it down and then said to us, “Is that all because we close in 30 minutes.” And we said yes even though it said they were open for another 2 hours. We eat here every weekend and we were upset to learn our favorite waitress was let go, we just weren't happy with the service we had this weekend. Our server for got my husband's milk and we didn't get it until halfway through the meal even after asking for it several times, she wasn't as friendly to us but she was actually sitting at another customers table while ignoring us. We won't be back.......
I ordered delivery this morning and 1. The bacon was slightly burned because it had black on it. I just ate around it. 2. My pancakes had a strand of light brown hair in it which grossed me out so I threw it away and called to inform the restaurant. The girl told me the owner wasn’t there so I said forget it and the call ended. I didn’t know it was the owner’s daughter until she told me on the 2nd call to the restaurant because Within 10-15minutes of getting off the phone with her I had diarrhea 2 times and my stomach is still upset. I called back to speak to her again to inform her of that too. I simply asked what did they do to my food? She said they prepared it as usual. I said it also depends on how you prep and prepare the food as well. The daughter said that the owner, her dad, will call me back tomorrow. I will not be ordering anything from this cafe again and hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else. This was my first and last time ordering from this place. I got burnt bacon, hair in my cakes and diarrhea on my first experience which is why I posted this review and pray everyone else never have an experience like mine. Whatever happened to wearing a hair net when preparing foods in restaurants to prevent that...
