Stopped in on Valentines Day 2019 for some chocolate covered strawberries. You know, the day that might as well be named “national chocolate covered strawberry day”. Regardless, I was told I would have to come back at 7:00pm (it was 5:30) if I wanted them as they were out. I was honestly shocked as this is not the day to be out of chocolate covered strawberries. So, I thought I would find an assortment of chocolates in a box. Also out! Now I could have sat there and picked an assortment by hand, but I didn’t feel compelled to support a local business that is not willing to help themselves, or be ready for their customers. Carousel Chocolates is my absolute favorite place to shop for milk chocolate pecan turtles. They also have an awesome variety of other turtles, such white chocolate, dark chocolate, and seasalt chocolate turtles just to name a few. And their huge variety of popcorn aromas always smells so enticing as when you enter the store. They have so many wonderful chocolate treats to choose from, as well as a multitude of other confectionaries which are all reasonably priced. I believe this is a family owned business. The staff is very friendly and I never felt rushed to make up my mind. Barb is typically the person who assists me whenever I come in. We ordered 5 flavors of popcorn for my daughters wedding on 11/25/16, due to the holiday we had to pick the popcorn up two full days before the reception and it was still perfect! All 5 flavors were delicious and our guests loved it, the staff questioned us about how many guests we had and sold us the exact right amount of popcorn we needed so we had no waste, my daughter and son-in-law were welcomed into the shop a month prior and tasted just about every flavor they offer to decide on which ones to choose.
