Touchdown Sports Bar and Grill — Restaurant in O’Fallon

Overall, it’s a 7/10. If you have extra time to spend, great place to relax and sit. If you want food and service fast, it might be better to wait for the kinks to get worked out.

We had the pulled pork nachos, Mac n cheese bites, fried pickles, bbq wings, fries and tater tots. I think the pulled pork nachos would be take up a level if they had their bbq sauce drizzled on top or if the pulled pork was tossed in bbq but overall they were pretty good. The Mac n cheese bites were great! You could tell they were homemade. Fried pickles were good, but could use another minute in the fryers. Bbq wings were really good and fries/tater tots were as well. Kids menu items are better than what you get at most places. Mac n cheese isn’t kraft but more homemade - really good and a lot served.

Service is slower than anybody would probably prefer but they are still newer so I’ll give the benefit of the doubt. We watched someone walk out due to the waitress only going by once in 20-25 minutes. Our waitress had stopped by 2-3 times in that time.

Atmosphere - when we got there the music was rap and loud. By the end, they had switched to country/classic rock. Maybe it was the song selectors on the walls that had started off as rap but it was a little much for 5:30 on a Saturday. I think if they stuck to country/classic rock, it wouldn’t have seemed so loud. Or just volume down a couple notches.

Bar seemed to have good service and bartender was doing well for his crowd.

We’d go back without kids the next time. Fun if you just want to hang...

I saw an add for this place and was really excited to try it. I brought my 15 year old daughter. When we walked in, there was nobody to tell us to wait or sit by ourselves. We waited a few minutes and just found a table. Not a big deal. After we sat, we waited about 10 minutes before being greeted. The waitress took our order. When the food was delivered, she forgot our fries. Not a huge deal. When she came by our table, I told her they forgot them. We didn't have silverware, napkins or plates. I walked up to the waitress stand and looked for them myself. There was a waitress standing there. I asked if I could get plates, silverware and napkins. She pointed to where the plates were, gave me silverware and said go grab napkins off of a table. Didn't offer to bring them to me. I used to be in the bar business. I know how crazy things can get but I was not impressed by her actions at all. When I got back to my table, she brought the fries. We started eating the fried pickles and they were so overcooked. I am NOT a picky eater but they were just awful. The fries were cold. We got boneless wings and those were good! I am hoping this is all due to it being new, but I won't be going back...

Uodste March 3 2025: we e tried again. Left after about 15 mins of sitting at the bar . Neither the apparrnt off duty bartender or the one working knew what they had in stock. We watched the off duty lady run around getting told by the other to get out from behind the bar. We watched the one duty bartender xome.to us twice and never clear dirty glasses near us or ever bring back a menu. And there was only two tables and one of them came.to the bar to get help and containers. Just a baf look. We left. Never served

:Update Dec 11 2024: we came back for another try and food was much improved. A good choice for catching sports games on tvs all over the place

As a former sports bar they have a large amount of space including a small patio to hear the music and see the game. Darts. Basketball game and some video poker are available. I sat at the bar and had good service. Both food items came.out very dry and overdone. Both the breaded chicken sandwich and the wings. Seasoning on the wings was good but they were super dry.
