I’ve been debating whether or not to post this review but here goes. Me and my girlfriend’s family all came here to have a bite to eat after a long work day, I believe we showed up around 7:15-7:30. We were very impressed with the general look of the place, the server was pleasant when she was taking our drink orders and food but this is where it started to go downhill. 10 minutes after we sit down, we are given our drinks and man y’all can make some awesome sweet tea. I’d say about every 10 minutes after we had put in our food order, our server would come around asking if we would like any refills and eventually after 3 refills (10 minute intervals) we are just wondering where our food is. Mind you, I hadn’t eaten anything all day, and sure, that’s my problem but I was hungry. After that 4th glass of sweet tea, I just waited and waited for my food. I was so pissed off. Almost an HOUR after we put our order in, we receive our food and in my case I was served last. I start eating and the server turns back around and says that isn’t my plate after I had started eating it. At this point I had totally forgotten what I had even ordered and was just so damn hungry. They eventually got me my plate and man, everybody at my table complained that the food was cold, the food had definitely been sitting. I left full but I didn’t leave satisfied after paying that 70 dollar tab and leaving right around 9 PM....
Read moreI was so excited to see this place and couldn’t wait to try it out. I had heard the burgers were amazing so my family went to check it out.
Three of us had cheeseburgers. A tiny flavorless piece of meat in a bun. The “cheese” was only evidenced by a small yellow smear on top of the burger. Almost non existent and completely void of flavor. Better burgers available at Rick’s, Denny’s, DKI, Steak n Shake, boomers.
The fries were really crispy and hot and delicious. The pulled pork was a big hit. Very good.
The beans and coleslaw were awesome.
The $6.50 IPA was just “ok”. Not terribly hoppy and seemed to be light on alcohol, but had a good flavor. Didn’t try any other beers.
I still have high hopes and will try it again. I’m confident the other beers are probably outstanding. And that they will address the “where’s the beef” twelve dollar burger issue as they get more experience.
Still a really cool atmosphere. I’d just advise to skip...
Read moreSullivan, MO has a gem with Muddy Banks Brewing Co! Service was friendly and fast, and the food was ready very quickly. Their beers were delicious: I loved the Lazy Yellow Moon wheat. We ordered wings with the hot garlic sauce, also very tasty. My husband enjoyed the jam burger and I liked the black bean burger. My fries were maybe not the hottest when they came out, but they were still crispy. I thought the amount of onion rings my husband got was a little stingy, but those are very minor things that didn't detract from our overall experience. The place is clearly popular: it was busy but not overly crowded on a Friday night and we were able to sit down right away, with our pick of indoor or outdoor table. The patio didn't have a super special atmosphere, but it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the good weather. I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the area, e.g. Meramec State Park or...
