The Lot — Local services in Oakmont

First time here with 7 people including a 2 & 4 yr. Old and a 90 yr. Old. Hostess was annoyed that I didn’t have a reservation. She informed me she only had one table in the whole restaurant and we could sit outside— we should’ve left. Seated for 13 minutes in the sun without any communication. ( no greeting, no water, ) asked to move to an empty table - “ no we are saving that for a reservation - it remained empty for 65 minutes. ( there were empty tables inside too) Possibly a busy night but I had to retrieve the waitress 4 times to accommodate us - .” Can we get more napkins? Did you remember we ordered 2…..Can we please order dessert?” Absolutely do not bring kids! One staff member laughed at me when I asked for crayons. One member actually said “ we aren’t very kid friendly” Terrible management of empty table and reservation turn over. Three stars because we were starving and the steak salad was good. Hate to punish the cooking staff for overall bad experience. ( alcoholic drinks were weak too) maybe it was just a bad night but...

So typically we love the lot’s brunch. They have a great atmosphere and great food. But we just went there today and our experience was totally unacceptable. The main prob was my 4 year old sons nutella french toast that got BURNT, then covered in nutella. I could see the burnt edges and when i went to scrape off the nutella it was pitch black. I sent it back and ordered the same thing but with nutella on the side. They proceeded To send me another BURNT french toast with the burnt side down. Are you kidding me? The waitress was nice but we will not be going back there after today. The thing that gets me is that both times it seems like they were trying to hide the burnt piece of toast. For a kid. How can any chef send that out to paying customers. He deserves to be fired. It is one slice of bread, cook another one if you messed it...

We came to celebrate a birthday and we made reservations we was sat right away but we sat for 45 min we literally had to get up and get someone to send our waiter to our table to just bring us waiter brought water no straws waited for another 20 min to get straws at this point we just ordered we took a little bit to order our waiter going to have an attitude because we took a little long to order. She act like we just wait an hour for water. Service was terrible no one came to our table not once after our food came out to make sure we didn’t need anything and no one didn’t even ask us if we was ok. Our waiter name was Julie and spoke with Abby the supervisor...
