Pros: Mrs. Demeta (lovely woman always a smile) Mrs. Thompson ( a Rock Star, gets it done) Mrs. Bradley( always busy always makes time) And emmanuel ( just love his personality)
After attending and passing a semester of courses with a total of more than seven courses passed with a B average, I failed a math class given at Taylor and it was also failed by over 50% of the class.
I was told by the president in an email after I told her how I passed everything but the math ,that everyone also failed, that I was not an academic success because I failed two courses at Taylor and I was to be dismissed and it was final! Now mind you I have passed 7 plus courses there including the one from 2014 I failed and retook at Taylor but she decided to use it as a fail. One course I failed she referred too was when I left the school in 2014 due to its chaos! I then retook that course in August of 2018 and passed it with a B as well as 3 other classes I passed with a B. Since there was no longer a Dean of academics who could review my file, I was left in the incapable and unkind and uncaring hands of a narcissistic flop whom was having more fun being unprofessional and belittling me than she was answering any questions or concerns I had. If I sound belittling back I am. She treated me as if she needed to get rid of me quick when I started asking about the failing math course.
Here you are in six months making all Bs and still maintainn the required GPA , and without a counseling session from guidance or a phone call I was snidely dismissed from a school as if I were not even a human being, Mrs Rebecca Jones is a very very unprofessional woman and with your educational endeavors in her hands you are left with your future being disposed to her final and uninformed judgment. Let it be known that after I made several inquiries into why an entire class failed that no one would answer my concerns.
You can take a program called CLEP and test out of a lot of core classes and Taylor etc and other colleges accept it BTW. It’s 90 bucks versus Taylor’s thousands of dollars core courses.
If you want to pay thousands of dollars to be spoken to like a peon by a woman who works for you since it is our dollar that makes it possible for her to be there, than by all means go ahead. I still hear most places don’t like hiring their students due to the inadequate instruction there, such as an entire class minus maybe one person failing a course as happened to me.
A real college does not belittle their...
Read moreWorst experience ever! I attended this school starting January 2016, for their RN professional nursing program. During my third semester there was a lot of staff changes, the first 3 weeks of classes were nothing but problems. Classes were canceled with out notice, and when in class there was no instruction from the instructors. They kept saying they were new and had to,figure everything out , so while we were in class for 4-5 hours they had us do ATI ( online work) rather than teaching us, also they told us to read the book and we were tested on the material we read on our own with NO teaching on the material.don't get me started on the clinical skills and how they were taught( I've been a CErtified medical assistant for 6 years, and I would never sign people, off on skills that were performed the way they were taught) After 3 weeks and no change I decided it was best for me to look elsewhere for my education. After withdrawing from the classes I was then notified because I attended that amount of time I had to pay full price for those 2 classes, $3497.00 are you kidding me!! Even though there was no instruction and I even had to pay for the classes that were canceled. Btw at this point they have already received $16,000 from me, which were student loans and I still have to pay back. Before they will release my transcipts I have to pay them the $3500. Since I am unable to just throw someone $3500 I asked if they would come down on the amount they refused to work with me and Talked down to me the whole time.
Btw at the time of enrollment I was told this school was regionally and nationally accredited, they are NOT. The local community college won't even accept their credits!!
This school is a for profit school and only look for what money you put in their pocket. they don't care about you furthering your education! They talk a good game, however I was always told " if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"
Also, based on multiple employers I spoke with. They do not hire LPN/RN at a lot of the local hospitals due to insufficient clinical time and, knowledge after program completion.
I do not recommend this school to anyone! They are a huge rip off and...
Read moreThis school is extremely expensive and the teaching is cheap. For the $600 it costs for a 40hr class you get nothing. You have to buy your own uniforms, pay for level 2 back round check, pay for a badge somewhere else and pay for the state exam separately. Also after the 40 hrs is over you have to go to another site to do hands on clinical training which can take weeks for them to set you up with. From my experience the teachers have no idea what they are talking about and explain everything all wrong. They make you practice on really old and junky equipment. I mean learning to do phlebotomy sticks on a doll arm that has been stuck at least 3,000 times before. Pretty much just paying for the ability to take the state exam its all self learning. No guidance or teaching taking place unless you want to learn that butt worms come out at night, cystic fibrosis is cysts that grow with a baby, inanimate objects are things you can't see, hormones be making people crazy... and the list of dumb things the teachers actually teach goes on just like this. Save your money...The only plus side is the class is...
